Just got a very recent bunch of 72 plate ADL E200 MMCs in seemingly to replace a lot of the old solos

There's 2 different types of Solo based at Faverdale Depot. The M880 (2852-61) and the M950 (2830/2/3/5/6/41/64/5).

Solos are 4.2 litre Mercedes engines.

John, Solos come in standard lengths M780, M850, M920, & M990. These are powered by Mercedes Engines.
Cummins powered Solos require extra rear bodywork to accommodate the larger engine so their length was increased by .3m. So cummins powered Solos have the designation M810, M950 or M1020
