The Harbor Sub continues on into the South Bay through Lawndale, Redondo Beach, and Torrance. This is where the C Line Extension to Torrance is proposed to run.
39:58 The Arbor Vitae Street railroad crossing along the future Metro K Line extension has gotten a major signal upgrade! Originally before the K Line was built, the Arbor Vitae Street railroad crossing (back then owned by BNSF Railway) had two gated signals with 8" warning lights and 4" gate lights. When the crossing got updated with new light rail tracks, the crossing originally got four quad gated signals along with a gateless signal in the median and pedestrian railroad crossing gates. Now recently, LA Metro updated the railroad crossing with new cantilever signals, gated median signals, and more crossbuck signs and warning lights added for its pedestrian railroad crossing signals. I guess it was all done for environmental reasons. It's crazy that the original new railroad crossing signals on Arbor Vitae Street never got to operate during revenue service on the K Line.
43:03 Looks like LA Metro added the green "C" bullet dot on one of its signs at the future Aviation/Century C and K Line station. One of its station's escalator and stairs signs have added the new green "C" dot along with the existing pink "K" dot. The other sign on the other escalator behind still has its pink "K" dot only. The station's pillar still hasn't added the green "C" dot yet.
Did you get a chance to see what happened to the post that a wigwag railroad crossing signal sat on on e 49th street that intersected the Malabar yard?
@@metrorailinlosangelesprodu4407 that’s very disappointing but so none of the original hardware is left? Not even the pole it sat on? All there is is that wooden crossbuck setup?
