0:53 my in game sensitivity settings
1:15 steam response curve
2:53 steam deadzone & steam stick size
4:04 steam deadzone shape
4:36 steam anti-deadzone
watch here : overclock your deadzone • overclock your deadzon...
important note: always experiment with different settings, don't just copy my exact settings. experiment/test, so you can find the perfect sensitivity for you
edit 2 : I've found out that decreasing the stick size from 100% to 98% or 95% or 90% or 85% , would make your crosshair to move faster in game , thus making target tracking and recoil control to be easier. you can also decreas the horizontal scale (make it something below 100% like 90% or 80%) if you feel your in game sensitivity feel fast (not accurate)
edit 3 : increasing steam custom response curve (above 200) will make the sensitivity faster, but at the same time it makes you track targets easier when they fast strafe , also the recoil control will be kinda easier.
edit 4 : i just found out that if you use steam anit-deadzone buffer, it will create a buffer effect, like it feels theres deadzone, but the cool thing is if you use the anti-deadzone buffer with the original anti-deadzone then you will get a good aiming feel. for example i used 3000 anit-deadzone and 300 or 600 anti-deadzone buffer, and i got a really good aiming feel, and later i tried 3000 anti-deadzone with 1500 anti-deadzone buffer and i got a different aiming feel but it was still really good. i advice you guys to try and experiment with this anti-deadzone buffer setting, but don't forget to combined it with the original anti-deadzone.

This the vid I was looking for gonna try it out later couldn’t get my aim right so annoying the old steam layout had calibration that really helped my aim
This was very helpful thank you
Very well explained this helped a lot thank you great video
awesome video good subbed
any possible way to ad a shift/ trigger so that it only loads a slower response curve when shooting? Thats what I did with reWASD so i can play at higher sense for better reaction time. My single shot wasn't as good though.
you can do that . i have posted 2 separate videos on my channel , and they were 1- how to play with 2 deadzones at the same time and 2- how to play with 2 sensitivities at the same time , and both of the videos relay on the idea of when you hold down your shot button , then your sensitivity changes. here are the video links:

however, since you said your single fire shot isn't good, then you can create a second "action set" and make it that it gets triggered/turned on with a hit of a button on your controller, for example if you have ps5 controller you can make that if you click the touchpad , then your whole sensitivity changes, but you also have to assign the "return to default sensitivity" button too, so it becomes like this : if u hit the touchpad you switch to other sensitivity and if you click the touchpad again you go back to default sensitivity. i can make a video on this today if you want, you can watch it
@@mahmood2030 you're the man...... Thank you bro.
bro leaked the juice
So tha ant deadzone you have decided isnt worth it at all? Are there advantages to using it?
there's an advantage in every setting bro. the anti deadzone give you more control in your aim making u aim better and track/flick targets better. the steam deadzone shape and size also has an advantage which is allows you to determine how much maximum area is allowed for movement in your stick before it reaches the maximum value. the custom response curve allows for precise aim adjustment / stick feel adjustment.
personally, i find the steam config controller settings are really good. that i even used them in rocket league, because they allow you to fine tune everything
what about outer ring options? are those necessary?
outer ring [command radius] option is useless for aiming (it changes nothing to aiming). outer ring command is used if you want to assign a button press when you push the stick in a certain % , you can find the outer ring command in joystick section, and under the right stick click or left stick click, you will see a "outer ring command" and beside it u will see "add command" which means you can assign a button to it. outer ring command radius option let's you adjust how much % (force) the stick needed to be pushed in order for the outer ring command button to be activated. long story short it does nothing to aiming.
edit: outer ring command is useful in other ways, for example: creating a run button, when you push the stick 70% you will walk , but when you push the stick 100% you will run. for apex this is useless because apex already have auto run , but for a game like the finals it will be useful, because last time i tried playing the finals it didn't have auto run.
@@mahmood2030 perfect explanation, since there was a dude on X baiting other people to set out Ring percent to 0% and I was like “that doesn’t make sense”
Is it working now?
yes, of course, it still works.
