Here's some books to get you through the spooky month! Instagram // / gracewithab. . goodreads // / grayseareads twitter // / grayseareads tumblr // / grayseareads email // graceradu1@gmail.com
Within the last two years, Halloween has become one of my favorite holidays and I feel like you have had an influence on that. I just associate you with fall and October now. Legit, when I think of my favorite memories from October last year, it was watching The Addams Family and your videos while I had my room lit with candles and lanterns. It was just so cozy! I love the aesthetics of all your videos (and IG posts). That is what always makes videos more fun to watch. :)
I'm currently reading The Night Circus after fiiiiinally having found that edition you're holding at a random bookstore for 5 euros and my god, I was SO HAPPY when I finally found it. I'm loving it so much!
whenever i watch your videos i have a tab for my local library's catalog open ready to sent requests for them haha. great vid, they all sound so interesting!
The ocean at the end of the lane was great! I'm partial to Neil Gaiman, so I really liked his book Neverwhere, which is a dark fantasy with an Alice In Wonderland feel to it:)
I love your outfit🎃🎃 I've been wanting to pick up Vicious for so long but this seems like the perfect time of year to do so. Night Film is great, I couldn't read it late at night.
Great recommendations! I love Roald Dahl's Book of Ghost Stories! Though I believe he's just the editor and has collected stories by other authors, rather than writing them himself. Stalking Jack the Ripper and Hunting Prince Dracula are both on my Fall TBR. I DNFed the first one earlier this year and wanted to try reading it closer to October and Halloween.
Your outfit is adorable NIGHT FILM IS MY FAV YESSS I read The Ocean at the End of the Lane but I didn't like it very much :( The Girl in 6E is so good!
I'm thinking about picking up Night Film, have seen it around lately a lot. I personally just finished reading Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding and it's not scary or anything but it's very magical and has witches and demons and is set during Halloween in Salem so would also really recommend :)
Girl, you need to read the spooky short story collection "You Have Never Been Here" by Mary Rickert, ESPECIALLY the short story "The Chambered Fruit." It's by far the most incredible ghost story of this century which I know is saying a lot but the entire collection is just PERFECT for October.
I am a new subscriber and I love you so much already. I read the girl in 6E in 7 hours it was so good. I am a huge book reader to where I actually need a new book case lol 😝 thank you for your awesome videos I am binge watching all your videos
You should read Pieces of Chaos by Tommy B. Smith. It's a collection of horror/dark fiction short stories, and its one of my favorite books ever. Its quite short and easy to get through, and the writing is absolutely hypnotic as well as disturbing.
I thought Ghost Stories by Roald Dahl was his compilation of all the world's best ghost stories (in his opinion). When I read it had a foreword by Dahl about how he went about picking all the stories and it ended up being about 50/50 female/male authors. Is it the same book? I've been looking for a compilation of Dahl's horror stories as well so if that's what it is I'd love to pick it up! :)
halloween + grace + books = everything
