It's so funny father times only unchanging want is to be saved from death since his purpose as an NPC is solely to die. Was that something done on purpose? Because that would be insane
I don't think it's specific to Father Time since I notice a lot of Sims end up with that want if you make them selectable before their wants reroll. Not sure why that is though.
ok if I learned something was that Father Time:
1. wants to take a real nap
2. wants to watch tv
3. wants to be saved from death
4. wants to get married and maybe a child
Poor thing He just wants to Live a Life💔 , have a vacation away from that loop of death. #freeFatherTime

So these past few days have been, to put it gently, heck, as our new kitten has bad diarrhea _and_ the cat flu. And this video has honestly made these near 48 hours of staying awake more bearable.

@@CalipersandTongs We got Skrunkle to the vet and she was put on a diet of cooked chicken and rice. And it has started to help! She is currently fast asleep.
In the USA for New Year’s we go outside at midnight to bang pots and pans and shout “Happy New Year!” Haha. Hearing you ask if that’s a thing somewhere made me laugh
For some reason I'd never heard about that before, so I wondered if it was something the developers just made for The Sims but wasn't sure lol.

Idk if it’s an American thing or a NY thing but as a kid I remember banging pots and pans for the new year? It could also be maybe some kind of Italian heritage thing bc I think my mom did it as a kid so like it was a tradition. I honestly thought it was a weird thing my mom made up 😭

I'm planning to make all the universal NPC's playable at some point if I can so I'll definitely get to him at some point.
love your corruption videos, you understand more technical stuff about the game and your ideas are great. there are many people who would just make father time selectable and call it a day, but you keep going further in your experiments. it really makes you stand out, and i'm a bit sad that this series is going to end when you reinstall
I will have to finish this series after reinstalling but since I'm slow at editing and I have a bunch of stuff that I want to experiment with (all the universal NPC's and then maybe editing stuff in SimPE to see what crazy things might be possible there, since I might as well push it as far as possible while I have the chance.) I have a feeling it will be going on for a while yet before I'm ready to reinstall. 😅 (I mean unless the game breaks completely before I'm finished lol which is possible.)

sidenote but i love how you turned the human pet glitch into a feature of blightgate instead of, idk, quickly reinstalling after getting that glitch like a normal player would. it even fits into the general vibe of the sims 2 lore lmao

It just had Father Time listed as the only parent, that always happens when a Sim has a child with themselves. I think the only exception is Brandi Broke's unborn child who is technically a genetic 'clone' of Brandi but Skip still shows up as the father in the family tree. I haven't tested it with duplicate Sims though (like what happened with Toddler New Year in this video.) You can make duplicates of any Sim I think using the moveobjects cheat (Callmekevin did that in one video with Vidcund clones,) but I don't know if it effects the family tree, it probably doesn't though.
OK I actually decided to test it just now by duplicating Brandi, and yeah it still only shows one parent in the family tree, but when I set up the pregnancy all the Brandi clones were listed separately.

Yeah it can since he's a universal NPC but I decided to experiment with them now since I'm planning on reinstalling the game eventually so I can install the ultimate collection instead of the disc installation I'm using atm, but before that I want to try as many things as possible. What I'm really hoping for is to see objects behaving like Sims (like regular household objects,) since I read some stories about that happening to people before and I always wanted to see that. Not sure if I'll get there just by messing with the universal NPC's though.
