      @@NoNonsenseKnowHow I ended up breaking on of the bolts off :( but I got the job done, 2 days later the sway bar bushing bracket broke. GF kept driving and it opened the frame right up like a tin can. If the shocks go out in this model and the car has a lil rust, I suggest buying some of the mounts online. That's the only place you can get them.

    Ford shows to take off drag link bolt out , and tge bottom bolt of the sway bar connector link , that way if you hit with a hammer it will drop out . put upper connector on before installation. I fought these before and it made a big difference, just passing on if you are fighting it. .

    It's my first time replacing struts but I left the stabilizer link attached to the strut and unbolted the link from the stabilizer bar, doing it this way does require an extra step and jack (use spare jack to raise knuckle until the link pulls out of the stabilizer bar).

    Im doing a 400$ rear spring and shock replacement myself to save 200$ and he advises me to buy a 500$ compressor and a 300$ impact drill to do it hahaha good video though

    At 7:00 ish, it shows a spring on the rear passenger side front stabilizer bar. what is that for and how should it be adjusted? it's mounted on a block for the brake lines.

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  Před 5 lety

      That's a proportioning valve. Depending on how much load is on a suspension, it applies a different amount of force to the rear brakes. I've honestly never adjusted one of those or had to mess with it. But I'm sure if you look up how to adjust proportioning valves you should be able to find a little bit of information. Hope that helps out. Let me know what you find out! And thanks.
