    Ray Evernham should be making the decisions for NASCAR. This package is the dumbest thing, and just the wrong direction. We need less aero sensitivity for better passing and control over what your car's going to do. Something has to change now!. Give them back their HP too. Everything's just not right, and spec chassis in 2021 isn't going to help anything. How can they not know or see this problem??. If they didn't know what to do to help the racing, which wasn't bad, why didn't they ask people like Ray Evernham who know what they're talking about. I'm sure we'd be in a better place if they would do that. Wow, I didn't intend to say all of this here. I just don't want the only sport I love to suffer anymore. Ok, I think i'm done now.

    • @prohen3049
      @prohen3049 Před 5 lety +1

      The cars are so aero sensitive cause the way the manufacturers build the real cars which the nose and rear bumper in NASCAR only have to be like the real car. The nose of these new cars drive like crap. You bump a real Toyota or Chevy car up to 125mph these days you can barely keep it in the lane the front of the car is going side to side so bad. You hop in a 1988 Thunderbird and do that same 125mph and you can drive with your knee, beer in one hand smoking a blunt with the other. Mass produced cars are about looks and fuel mileage these days and not about performance and it's messing with these NASCAR drivers.

      With the way they're hacking spring helices and bump stops, theres no way they can enforce the minimum 5" nose rule. By the time they hit 180, the nose in on the ground due to down force. Find a way to get the nose off the ground at speed and remove the splitter and the problem is solved

      They're trying a new deal with Xfinity and trucks where they unhook the shocks and check ride height after the race and it may not last. Research the X-3 test car from 2016, it's the early stages of the gen 7 and it provides the answers we're all looking for.

    Back when all types of racing were entertaining to watch and the tracks had waiting lists to get tickets...there was 1 common denominator. Way more horsepower than traction! Didn't matter if it motorcycles, snowmobiles, F1, Can-Am, Indy (Cart), or Nascar. So those in charge of running these series, if you want the fans and sponsors back, Cut the areo downforce back to minimum safe levels and give the innovative people the "freedom" to express their talents. If that means they dominate the competition, well so be it. Because they way the rules are now...a Sunday afternoon nap has more appeal than watching a 1/2 hour of racing, 1 1/2 hours of caution laps and 2 hours of commercials!
