- Skiathos vs. St. Maarten - two of the most well known beach airports in the world. Today I decided to compare my two favorite airports. Although Maho Beach used to have bigger planes, Skiathos was also a fantastic airport because of the lovely greece landscape.
Sadly the Boeing 747 left Sint Maarten a few years ago because KLM decided to use the Airbus A330-200 instead. For every planespotter it was one of the main goals to see a 747 land at SXM someday. I am pretty sure we will visit SXM again someday.
The biggest plane which is allowed to land at Skiathos is a Boeing 757. Sadly no 747`s or A340` s are able to land there because of the runway length.

visiting skiathoıs would be easier unless you live in USA
These are the best low landing videos out there. By a long shot! Very clear and steady footage. Love all your different angles. You need to do a few focused only on the line of people that are videoing a plane landing. It would be cool to see all the peoples heads and cameras turning at once. Also the same with the blast from the take offs. Focus only on the people and maybe some being blown over from the blast to give a sense of the power. Nice work.

It's 2 airports. Skiathos, in Greece, and St. Maarten (Princess Juliana) on St. Maarten (formerly of the Dutch Antilles).
