    Nice points! Kind of surprise when you mentioned that only 6% are ready to buy now, but yeah, that's correct. That's why businesses need to build up the momentum until the rest of their audience are ready. Aside from presence on social media, this approach is also applicable to cold emailing. Don't be afraid to present yourselves, land on someone's inbox and build connection from there.

    It seems to me that Architects are the number 1 generator of leads, so its tough to break in to a trusted circle, especially if they already have GCs that kick something back to them.
    We have recently turned our business into Design Build because we were tired of giving away business when a potential client did not have plans.
    Marketing is our BIGGEST issue, no one knows we really exist. When I speak to most people they didnt even know that DESIGN/BUILD was an option.

    Like what you're layin' down. Maybe we're a niche market but yeah people who call us want it now, not in six months. We're a locksmith though, so it's more a matter of "i need my locks changed, and I need it now." Google Ads generate around 80% of our sales, and I'm doing around 3-5 calls a day, everyday. I would love to see our business expand, so if you have any tips on what we could try I'd love to hear your take. We're kind of a construction business, more of a service I guess. Construction adjacent? Anyways, good content, keep it up!

    I have 1 year experience of selling software and was thinking of helping my dad’s home renovation business (tiling, flooring, painting, masonry). In order to sell these services do I need to have experience myself working in the construction business? Because I don’t understand the equipment or technical aspect. Also is door to door sales a good approach in construction to find clients?

    IS it possible to start a construction bussiness without having worked in construction before? Or do I have to have experience in construction?

    How to videos are a waste of time. Unless you're making a video to show how you solve a problem. Social media won't yield that many results. Want to get free leads fast? CALL YOUR PAST CUSTOMERS! If you do good work you'll never run out of work. If you see you're slowing down, make some calls. Leads from past may be ready to buy now as well.

      LOL are there really any successful contractors who call up past customers like “UMMMM DO YOU GOT ANY WORK FOR ME???” They could just save time by getting the word DESPERATE tattooed on their forehead.

    • @shudderclaw7197
      @shudderclaw7197 Před 3 lety +1

      @@reggiejenkins6458 dont call them up asking for more work instead call them up and say "hey how is the deck i built holding up your coming up on the end of your warranty and just wanted to be sure there are no small repairs needed"
      If they need a small repair go out and fix it and if no repairs are needed great but the chances are there will be more work they need or another project started and you will be the first one on their mind not to mention they WILL recommend the guy who called and reminded them of the warranty they forgot about (even though there was no warranty)
