Freeze-dry Tip - Ice-cream Sandwiches

Ice cream sandwiches don’t have to be hard here is a tip to make freeze drying treats such as this a big hit!
As you can see, I cut some of the larger sandwiches in fourths.  These were the Neapolitan flavored ice creams. 
When you cut these place them on your trays and put back in the freezer for several hours.
Or you can select more freeze time.
By making sure the ice cream is frozen it will not expand as much as the melted.

When you say freeze before, aren’t the ice cream bars already frozen?

They can soften when you take them out to cut. We just bought these at the store. So they were softer. The nice ones were the ones I already had at home.

Do you have to do anything to the sandwiches before eating them? Like some stuff you have to add water to and rehydrate. I assume you just eat those as is…

I just tried this. Why does some of vanilla turn yellow?
