- Comfort means control, so we spent a lot of time dialing in the ergonomics of our Sword drop bar shifters. Whether you’re riding around the block or around the world, we think the combo of great grip, generous support, and intuitive feel will keep your hands happy.

Love the look of these and the cable operation. Would definitely buy a 1 x 12 version.
As much as I like the added versatility of a 1x12, the chains will be more expensive and wear out much faster, so even more expensive to run, also the cassettes will be much more expensive and more difficult to keep good longevity but low weight with more rings.
Man you make me watch your video everyday keep going
When are you guys going to offer hydraulic brakes on the brifters?
@jacklo325 - Agreed. This is the one big thing missing from the budget gravel and road space. Affordable Hydraulic brifters. Been making due with TRP HY/RD in the mean time.
@@RideShagbark I would disagree that it's "missing", they just offer a different approach, more reliable, easier to repair if it breaks on a bikepacking trip in the middle of nowhere.
TRP HY/RD is one option, JuinTech F1 is another well respected one, or even better - JuinTech GT-F with 4 pistons per caliper.
@@KNURKonesur They do have great current offerings for bikepacking. I've ridden AdventX extensively with both TRP Spyres and TRP HY/RD. Long, remote multiday trips on the HY/RD with a spare Spyre in the gear bag (thankfully didn't need it). That doesn't mean Microshift couldn't also offer a full hydraulic brifter option. To be clear I wouldn't want hydraulic brifters to completely replace their mechanical offerings. But I'd still like the option for full hydraulics with AdventX/Sword 10sp derailleur/cassette compatibility.
thank you john microshift
I'm here for this
Really smart
I much prefer a 2x9 or 10 but with hyd brakes please. You guys need to make an option for 2x7/8 for kids, 2x9/10 for with arthritis and short fingers like me and 2x11/12 for serious racers! 😊
Want to buy microshift parts but it's difficult to find here in the philippines
Reach out to YKK Bikes, if they don't have what you want then make them order it!
Please guys release the 1x12(or 1x11) hydraulic version and I'll buy it immediately 🙏
what's wrong with a 1x10 and hybrid brakes?
Microjig: makers of the Grrriper!
Wait wrong product...
It's January 2024, you still can't buy it anywhere. When will this change? 😅
Sorry for the late reply! Now it's March and availability is still spotty. We're fulfilling reorders from our distributors, so hopefully the stock situation is better in a few months. We're not trying to be Rolex here.
Very interesting in trying these, but for me I feel like it would have made more sense to switch the paddles around, so the harder gears on the rear are easier to access on drops and easier gears easier to reach on hoods. Maybe that's just me.
The lever that pulls cable needs to be longer for better leverage, so we're kind of locked into this configuration.
Shimano is the same way. Actually all current indexed mechanical shifting is the same way. You need the larger lever force to downshift and actually pull the cable. The upshifts are little more than a click that releases some cable tension. For it to work the other way, the derailleur would need to be sprung in the opposite direction. (Some folks tried that a while back, but it didn't catch on.)
I've tried several SRAM and Shimano shifters and I like the feel of the old Microshift XLE more, when you're pushing in the hoods, the very short click under your index finger to shift up is incredibly satisfying on both the Advent X and XLE groups, so I'd assume with the Sword it will be on par or even better :D
Does the Sword 2x system work with bar end shifters?
Are those compatible with Shimano GRX 400 2x10 groupset?
No, they are not. The cable pull is longer, closer to Shimano Dynasys 10 speed.
I can't find sword components available to buy anywhere online. Any tips are appreciated.
we have to wait. afaik release is "late fall" - whatever that means
Later than early fall! We're shipping product out, but it's tough to know when it will be available at distributors. Some may have it available sooner, and some later. November seems like a safe bet for a number of regions.
@@microSHIFTTECH does the sword offer a hydraulic version and 2x version? And what's the price? Also are the shifters cross compatible with Shimano grx or not?
Hi Sir may I ask where can I buy Microshift Acolyte? Thank you
It sort of depends on where you live. We have a section on our website for distributors. If you can't find Acolyte in your region, you can always get in touch with them to find out where to get it.
@@microSHIFTTECH actually i somehow see acolyte on pages in Facebook and on a market place app called Lazada, but I don't know if it is legitimate or just a knock off version on the real one. But still thank you for your advice sir.
Yet you don’t give correct info on your website about your rear derailleur 😂
Sorry for the confusion, James Bond. Let me know what you're talking about and maybe we can get it cleared up.
