Vasif is one of the perfect and respectful chess player. As you see after being angry he came and said sorry.
True
Nah, a Jihadist.
@@martincalero7390 I didn't understand, what did you mean
Why apologize ? You have the right to be angry, it is human. The anger wasn't towards the opponent but himself. No need to apologize. It's Ok to have emotions.
@@GaetanCzaja it's okay to have emotions, it's better to contain them to yourself and be respectful
I think a lot of the frustration stems from the fact HE was pushing for the win. The player with black tried to force threefold on a couple of occasions without succeeding so Vasif always had the draw available but instead decided to press, got into a difficult situation and ended up flagging.
Similar to when Andrew Tang flagged on Day One. He was the one pushing but ended up blundering into a draw then, worse, flagged so after a match he should've won then should've drawn - he lost.
Chess can be brutal.
In the end he was lost though as black has mate threats after Kg8 and white knight is hanging. Even if he didn't lose on time and played Ng6, doesn't Qh3+ wins?
what is flagging?
Flagging is loss on time running out
@@J.J.J.J.J.J.J Thanks
@@AKhan0372 yes, he more than just flagged, his pushing led to losing position on board as well as losing on the clock
That "sorry" speaks for itself

Happens. Emotions can run high sometimes and as humans we are allowed to react. As a true professional he apologized. This is nothing compared to some of the stories I’ve heard of grandmasters actions in the 90’s.

@4:46, just the way the kid slides into frame at the end and chugs the water. Not that it was intended but it felt like a protagonist silently making a statement 😂

Great recovery with the sorry. To use that adrenaline and have emotional intelligence is a delicate balance.
Back in time when i was learning this beautiful game, i couldn't even sleep and even in school i couldn't stop my self thinking about it all the time. My mind was glued to it literally!
You're not alone! Chess has a way of capturing your mind and soul.

If you ever see a chess player with a brick in his back pocket, remember he will eventually use it, and not to build a house.
Position was lost as well .Ng6, which he was trying to play would not help white even if he had more time on clock
1. Ng6 Qh3+ 2.Nh4 Qxh4+ 3.Kg6 Qg3+ 4.Kh5 g6+ 5. fxg6 Qh4#

The pain of losing.. I’ve been there, we’ve all been there. But it makes us stronger.

How many gold coins do you collect for capturing him?
Who else saw Sagar moving curiously😂
1:28 you cannot move piece before opponent has pressed the clock. why arbiters never see this.
You can. It's blitz. You cannot press clock
You can, that is called premove
I agree, this should be 2mins for the opponent, arbiters are just terrible and chickening out
In fide rules you can. When the hand leaves the piece the opponent moved, it is your move.

It was a very tense and exciting finish
That's what your mom said
There something wrong with that clock. He had 3 seconds after his last move. There's no way 3 seconds passed from the moment the Chinese player hit the clock until Vasif hit it.
Actually if you pay close attention to the video you can see 3 seconds on Vasif's clock, and all of a sudden 0.
Yes, I see it too! Can someone explain what happened?
If you watch in HD and slow motion everything looks fine. On the move before he already almost went to 0.

Understand the frustration and At least he apologised afterwards. Unlike some of the behaviour from the kids in this competition it was disgusting
Why do you expect 12 yo kids to behave like a responsible adults?
@@happybear3110because they’re playing in a top tournament where they’re required to behave like responsible adults? If you can be a FIDE master you can definitely behave well

most gentleman ive seen that sorry told everything chess is all you so if something like that happens its frustrating
Another example of why we need to start enforcing helmets in this dangerous sport.
No big deal. He was a gentleman in the end.
Very nice saying sorry!!
Too much stress for nothing. 😬 It's EXTREMELY self devastating. I would have exchanged the queens and take an easy draw. 🙂Too much pushing.... Who wants too much, gets nothing. 🙃Not only that but also you waste so much energy and nerves. Impossible to conduct a full tournament like that. Vasif is an intelligent person and I think he will learn his lesson. 🙂
Well, Magnus always pushes and pushes... and most of the times he wins, see his blitz games from this tournament. Of course he is Magnus Carlsen, I know.
🙃🙂 😬
@@Zenthollo well but also magnus makes clear progress. This guy is clearly just shuffling pieces around the board hoping to get lucky. I think there is a clear difference - like if you can actually squeeze water from stone then you should do it but otherwise there is no point, you are just as likely to lose from a bad mistake as you are to win, and meanwhile you fray your nerves
That's what makes games nice to watch (as well).
Great struggle. Game was dead drawn I never thought black was ever in danger of losing.
it would be so nice if there were a special person that would explain these videos to newbs. (Explain it to me like I am five years old) :)
Seeing all those arbiter videos lately, it is weird that the position of the clock is not more regulated. White clearly had a disadvantage here. He is righthanded and the clock stood much closer to his opponent. Losing here on miliseconds because you have to reach for the clock is bitter and his reaction is understandable.
The clock is, by design, kept on the side that favors black. (One of the ways to slightly compensate for the advantage white has starting first).
Here the kid lost at the same time the adult also lost
he probably forgot the table was there
Literally a hybrid of Nepomniatchi and Kramnik
Sagar at the end KEKW!
Winning is everything...
Put people in such situations, get such emotions. He apologized so fast, I instantly forgave him. Tough situation lol.
It’s definitely a blitz apology and blitz forgiveness.
I can totally see an anime being made of this
what would happen if the clock stop working at the last second
If you listen carefully, you can hear their hair falling out and hitting the ground.
At 1.30 he is making a move befor the opponent is finished with his. Is he alowed to do that?
Yes, that's allowed. However, you have to allow your opponent to press the clock anyway, i.e. even if a reply move is already on the board. That's how sometimes in blitz games when the clock has almost run out for the both players, they can still gain a few seconds more by playing a few repetitive moves completing each move in approximately half a second. That happened to be captured on video even when top GMs play blitz games in tournaments like Carlsen or Nakamura. The craziest things might happen when blitz games are played without increments. There are no games like that anymore except for some rare Armageddons. There's a funny video on CZcams with one such case. It's called

There should be a rule against slamming the clock as hard as you can -.-
If you had read the rules, you would've known that there is one. Do you feel embarrassed now?
@@31redorange08 no? Lol if they aren't enforced at the highest level of competition then the rule effectively does not exist. Also, you do know there are dozens of different chess leagues with different rules from DFW, cfc, USCF, fide, etc right?

2:38 What's the correct way to handle knocking down pieces in Blitz? Could Black stop the clock and demand more time?
you are supposed to put them back on your time (put it back first then press clock)
@@foobar5809 I know. But what if a player, like in this case, doesn't? Does it get you an extra minute if you claim or just a warning?
@@ostapbender7528 I‘m not a FIDE arbiter, but I would give a warning on first offense unless it appeared intentional to me (which it didnt in this case, seems like he only realized knocking the piece over after pressing the clock if you factor in reaction time). If it was intentional, or not the first time, I‘d give the opponent 1 extra minute, which is the standard time penalty in Blitz/Rapid (2minutes in classical, but doubt it would happen there).
@@foobar5809 Thanks! Makes sense.

@@RedDefender77 Sorry, you‘re right.
Why are the kings kept in the middle when they put back the pieces for the next game?
The kings are on the dark squares in the middle of the board to symbolize and inform black won the game.

That was quite frustrating
sagar at the end is funny

Golpear la mesa es una mala actitud, nada justifica ese comportamiento faltando el respeto a su oponente y al público, debió controlar sus emociones y más aun si está frente a un niño, ese tipo de actitudes debería de sancionare por parte de la FIDE.
He immediately apologized and shook his hand. I think he was frustrated with himself and embarrassed himself. I don’t think it’s a big deal, but wouldn’t want this becoming the norm, either.

The way he was conducting himself during the game was unsportsmanlike, his playing a child, an apology does not cut it, disgraceful.
i can't believe they try so hard. Its not like either of them are winning the tournament. Just accept the draw lol
That’s the nice version of me right there 🫡
Who is the sitting guy
His clock looks like dropped from 3 seconds to 0 without counting 2 and 1. What exactly happened to the clock?
uhh, no you can actually see in counting
I really dislike the way they splash the pieces around, moving fast is fine, imo if you splash a piece ,you should lose.
who won?
Is he going to claim that one of the kid's friends started shouting as the clock was running down 🤣 (inside joke if you watch this channel)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I mean that happened. The guy was right to complain. The kid even admitted it happened; he just argued that they were far away from the table. You can’t scream at the table at the end of a blitz match; it was even worse that it was his friends doing it.
