One thing I think is nice about the balance team for Kill Team is that in addition to the statistics, they consult the high tier players to get insight into why teams aren't performing or being played. Then they take that info and use it to make tweaks. The Warcom articles on KT balancing are always a great read and have super informative video interviews
So totally right. I suspect that the people paying the most attention to it are the ones who should probably be ignoring it. What people should be paying more attention to is the cognitive load it takes to run the lists. Jumping to Vet Guards from Intercession was a very rude awakening for me, which I conceptually expected, but ooof. Hard to run...
I've seen enough tournament results with Compendium Daemons or Hive Fleet Genestealers at the top to know that I'll play my Warpcoven and Wyrmblade all I want.

Just as funny comment. I have played hunter clade in the last few local tournaments. I ended first, second and second. So yeah, you effectively can win with hunter clade =)

I watch the meta but it doesnt influence my choice. Ive played phobos since they were released, i even play a pure reiver phobos team from time to time. My other teams are Hearthkyn, corsairs and Kommandoes. I just playthe teams i like the look of
