  • In this video, I change out the factory soft tire foams to the dual stage Pro-Line brand tire foam on the SCX6 Trail Honcho 1/6th scale RC crawler. The dual stage foams consist of a soft outer foam and a stiff inner core. The install is relatively easy, and the results are good, but it's much more location dependent and a driver preference in the end.

Just installed mine today on the same rig that’s all I’ll do to it as far as upgrades, expect moved to dual 4s.

i run in a lot of sand/mud being from the midwest, so i like the softer conforming foams with the beadlock breather holes sealed off. still soft and rolls the sidewall, but helps a little with stiffening the tire up using air pressure.

Keep them in nice ride and looks to handle perfect.
I think these foams are the best overall foam you can have.
Like you said some situations the stock ones migt grab better ...but like sidehilling or decending in a corner or climbing..the stock ones just crushes in..and the inside of the tire looks like a wear down pillow...and the outer side dosn't grip att all...in heavy cornering they are leaning to much on the sidewall where they don't have any grip and start to slide...and the sidewall being the thinnest piece off the tire its not the spot on the tire you want to have pushing or pulling the car..

They have broken in a bit, and I do enjoy them! I have a pair of hyrax’s to throw in this truck soon as well will likely transfer these foams over to those tires.

Nice video they look decent. I just bought the Antifoams, stocks are ok but get worse with time.

The anti-foams do look promising, I am interested in grabbing a pair as well. I am wondering if there is a sort of break in with these Pro-Lines, will just have to take it out more!

Steady Foam ? $50. Won’t break down like that first white foam of the dual stage.

I got my scx6 used, it came with these and super swampers. I'm curious what these foams weigh. I would like the front to be a bit softer so I'm considering a printed insert for the front. Are you still using these foams and still like them?

I still like them, but I honestly haven’t been out much lately. I think they might be stiffer than what you might be looking for, depends if you need good sidewall pressure as well. Been playing with Rc helicopters a bit, but haven’t filmed much.

Hey man sweet video where did you get your hub extensions from?

These are actually stock axles/hubs, only thing I have modified is the tire foams so far.
