- How to make these dual stage Part#6174-00 foams work their best on these Pro-Line 1.9 5.40 TSL Bogger Super Swamper tire. For the cost of these foams one should not have to do this. Pro-Line I hope you are listening.

Yeppers I'm getting rid of the Pro-Line Dual Stage Foam's... Can't keep them from slipping in and out causing wobbly's... $$$ Pro-Line = money vacuum 🤪😜🤪

Yep I agree. What have you gone with? Foams if you ask me are over priced like most things RC. But what they ask for foam.
Happy with using lexan shears to open the packaging haha Great video mate, thanks!
20 year old shears you bet, they became dull years ago. I now use them for other things and not on lexan. I have new ones for that. Thanks for watching.
Whenever I purchase their 2-stage foams, I grind off the inner rim locating ring with a dremmel. Haven't used their 2.2's but I've been pretty pleased with them in 1.9x4.75 tires. Sometimes I use their single stage in the rear tires.
I have never used their 2.2. I run 1.9's.
Cool info
I have the same issue using Raptures with the dual stage foams.
Some people use them smaller in certain tires as it conforms more.
All depends on what your doing really
Yep I do the same. But over a quarter smaller, well you do not want that. Well maybe you do. Not this dude.
Nice video.
I always gleu some fine sandpaper on my rims or on the innerfoal to prevend the foam from sliding left and right ( turning and sidehilling..
Try it on a tire and you wil notice the difference.
2 stage is nice but most often the soft outerfoam will slide and move on the innerfoal.
I even tested standard Wraith foams ( cut a slide out of a bicicle innertire and streched that over the rimbed and then mounted the foam and tire ...it works perfect..nice soft tire that forms over rocks etc.but still strong enough to keep the car stable when climbing, cornering, and sidehilling..
Thanks for watching. I am in the process right now of making a video showing how to make your own foams. Much cheaper then purchasing foams. They are also much better then anything one can purchase pre-made. Stay tuned. Coming soon.
Just right..innen and outer foam should be gleud or taped together they have to become one to prevent sliding.
I use some thin double sided tape and put a piece of the tape backing on the gleu side so both sides god backing..than insert everything and than peel away the 2 backing of the tape making sure it stays in the middle..
No more sliding or problems.
I must say I run unvented beadlocks and don't take my tires off anymore...for other tracks or envoirments I just use another set of wheels and tires with other foams ,vented or unvented..
Whet I know ill be hidding fine dust, sand or water areas closed is the way to go.
That’s much better dang those were off at first.
I just nought these tires also.... badass but the sidewall needs support. Cant you just put the blue inserts with the stock foam? Or would that make to hard?
If you don't cut the foams they will be to hard. Thanks for watching.
Ive tried different tires/wheels and foams, mix matching, and I’m gonna tell you that proline designs their stuff to match “their” stuff, so if you are going with proline dual stage, u gotta get the rims, with hyrax tires and you will have the best tire/wheel/foam combo performance wise.
I sold all my Hyrax tires. I only run Proline Super swampers now. But I have two ponds I mud in. Hyrax suck in the deep thick mud.
@@tonysweet9137 oh you’re doing mudding i thought u were crawling with it.
@@npc5569 Yep I crawl through the mud. We have rocks but mud rules in the middle of the USA.
Hyrax suck in the mud and snow. In Illinois it's all about mud and snow. Thanks for watching. Keep wheeling.
The 1.9 xl foams are made for the standard 1.9x4.75 tires vs the class 1 1.9 foams for the 4.19 tires. You need to use the 2.2 outer dual foams and 1.9 inners for this tire making it costly
I contacted Pro-line. I was told to use the dual stage foams I am showing. No way I would purchase two sets of foams to make one set. This would cost over 100 bucks for just the foams. I am going to show how to make your own two stage foams. I have just been too busy to get it done. Maybe this spring.
So it's the same kinda foam that already comes with the tire?
You must not have watched the video.
It fit for me all you do is stretc
They are designed to fit Pro-Line Tires.....not some cheap clone
Who uses cheap clones?
👈🤫@@tonysweet9137
most people do run those shitty tires
Only shitty because you do not know how to modify them. It all comes in time. Thanks for watching.
