1945s Railway car - JEP - abandoned model train - restoration

This is a very rusty railway car made by JEP (Jouets De Paris) for Unis France around 1945.
I bought it 5€ on eBay.
I created new labels, also new rivets and some other parts.
I decided to polish the wheels and also the roof.
I hope you will like the new look of that model train !

Your work is true craftsmanship and I agree entirely with comment that restorers are special people. I’ve been binging on your videos but stopped abruptly at this one. I have an identical coach (except for different lining on the blue panels) picked up at a toy fair a few years ago for, if I recall correctly, less than £1. Fortunately, it had been better kept than your example and doesn’t require restoration. At least I now know it’s manufacturer and date. It’s 3 years older than me! I feel inspired to see what can be done to improve the condition of a couple of wrecks I’ve got. Many thanks.

3:50 always more relaxing to see a sandblasting session over painted parts instead of tin-plated ones! No preciously lithographed details lost here and a much easier restoration job ahead☺️

Dear TheFabric, I admire your work , but You changed the color of the car roof from light yellow to dark brown.
In real conditions, the dark color of the roof leads to overheating from the sun, which will create uncomfortable conditions for passengers.That what I meant. Best wishes.

The result is stunning, but it would have been perfect with white decals. I'm aware it's probably not worth owning a white color printer, but I guess it is possible to find a workaround.
Also the blue is much brighter than the original. It looks great in the end though still!
