  • When a laptop grabs dust and dirt from the inside, it becomes harder for the cpu and other components to maintain a stable temperature, and as the cpu gets hotter, it's performance as well as it's life decreases. If your laptop is out of warranty, a very simple solution is to clean your laptop from inside out, which includes replacing the thermal paste, which is exactly what I have demonstrated in this video, which will help you get a better cpu temperature as well as performance.

    Hey guys,
    I made a mistake using a cheap thermal paste in this video, the processor is an intricate component and a proper thermal paste should be used to replace the one already on the processor. I have replaced the paste on this laptop and I have been using the Deepcool G40 since a few months, and it seems decent -

    Hey Bro. I have the same laptop also out of warranty. I guess this model has some heating issues. Can u tell ur experience after this cleaning process. Also how to configure software to reduce heating.

    • @spindletech358
      @spindletech358  Před 3 lety +4

      Hey Vishwesh,
      The laptop did heat a lot before cleaning, but after cleaning, there was a drop in the maximum temperature of about 4-7 degrees.
      The bottom line is that there should be enough space for the hot air generated inside to be released from inside the laptop.
      Hp laptops have a preloaded application called hp coolsense which automatically adjusts the fan speed during the execution of various processes, so you just need to keep the number of background processes to a minimum and the laptop will be just at the right temperature. If you are using Google Chrome, it is my suggestion that you switch to Firefox or any other browser, since Google Chrome always keeps running a number of background processes even when it has not been opened by the user.

    Hey bro , I need to know how can we remove the dust settled beneath the keyboard keys and the dust went through speaker
    Please reply

    • @spindletech358
      @spindletech358  Před 3 lety

      Your best bet would be to use an air blower to clear out the dust, although if the keyboard is really mucky you should just replace it if it is removable, since it's not possible to remove all the keys and clean it.
      For the speaker I would suggest use a dry toothbrush to remove the dust settled on the grill and then blow it away using the blower.
      Hope that helps.

      @@spindletech358 thanks bro , my keyboard is not removable , can I know single keys, take the dust out and then again insert the key.
      Is it possible?

    • @spindletech358
      @spindletech358  Před 3 lety +1

      I would suggest you not to do that, since they are quite fragile and the clips under them can break, and you won't be able to put them back in their slots.
      Try using compressed air cans to clean out the keyboard instead if there's a lot of dirt.

    Bro I've Hp 15cw0027au (Ryzen 5 2500U, 8Gb Ram, Storage:1Tb+128Gb). It's 1 year old laptop.
    The CPU temperature crosses 80°C with just a couple of browser tabs opened. Even the idle temperature (with only heavy background service Bitdefender) remains near 60°C. It's a toast!!
    I've a few questions, hope you could answer them all:
    1. What do you suggest, shall I open it to clean the vent, given it's been mostly used on the desk of my closed room?
    2. Is this a normal operating temperature for this config laptop? (official max operation temp is 105°C)
    3. Shall I go to service center and ask them to clean, and apply the thermal paste?
    4. Laptop is still under warranty (3years warranty pack), do you have any idea if such cleaning and thermal paste application is charged by the HP service center?
    Thanks 🙏🏻

    • @spindletech358
      @spindletech358  Před 3 lety

      Hi,
      To answer your first question, Do not mess around with the laptop, if it's still under warranty, which it seems like it is. A Laptop collects dust from anywhere, may it be a closed room or an open factory, it always gathers dust on it's components. Although, your laptop does seem to be reaching a higher temperature on idle, it should throttle between 50-60 degrees with normal operations. I am not entirely sure if hp provides cleaning services, but if they do, it should be free of cost since the laptop is still under warranty, but I think you would get better support if you just tell them about the overheating, they will clean the laptop by themselves😉
      Also an out of context suggestion- Nowadays antiviruses are no longer required, windows defender does it's job pretty well, so if you think bitdefender is eating up a lot of ram and cpu, you can remove it if feasible.
      Hope this helped you. Cheers🍻

      @@spindletech358 Thanks a lot for a detailed reply. Really appreciate that!!
      Even I was thinking about uninstalling Bitdefender, but in idle state RAM usage is like 35-40%, while CPU usage is around 3-8%. So, I'm not really sure if Bitdefender is really a culprit here. Though when there's a silent background updates, it really shoots up the usage.
      And even I have decided to call the service center, as it won't be a wise idea to open the laptop myself, when it's still under warranty.
      Thanks for your assistance. 🙏🏻
