Such a dynamic, sensual, magical, band. Love Michael Hutchence SO much. 😭 He was our Jim Morrison. 💕
Exactly what I thought the first time I heard Hutchence….Jim Morrison incarnate….❤️ the Doors, and ❤️ INXS.
EVERYTHING about him was our generation’s Jim Morrison.
Yes, indeed he was!
In fact If I remember correctly, the production of The Doors tried to have Hutchence as Oliver Stone's Jim Morrison.
(He died in a sad and terrible way).
yes you right he was a beautiful ans talenred singer RIP Michael we miss you 😮💨😮💨🤫
The "Kick" album was the soundtrack to the most amazing summer of my life. What a brilliant song
Indeed. Banger of an album thatu
I wore out my vinyl version, loved that album!❤
I didn't have the album until later, but It was my soundtrack on the radio! :)
Incredible album!! 1988!! Every song perfect.
The songs that came from that album 💿 are all time 👏👍
Michael Hutchence was a true rock star in every way. Great band, so many bangers.
Been a minute since you did an INXS song! You've done many of their classics, but I think you'd also love "Suicide Blonde", "Original Sin", "Disappear", "Bitter Tears", or perhaps their very first hit single in the U.S., "The One Thing". That one was a banger! And this is now six INXS songs you've done, the most recent being their #1 hit, "Need You Tonight".
The one thing is my favourite
@@eviekelpie1'The One Thing' and 'Don't Change' both were stand outs the first time I was introduced to them when I saw them live as an opening act for Adam Ant on his 'Friend or Foe
tour. I immediately went out the next day and bought 'Shabooh Shoobah' and proceeded to wear it out.
Give “Burn for You” a listen. Trust me, you will not regret it!
@@jayholland2632 Yes they're both great. Don't Change is my husband's favourite. I have that album and it's probably my favourite INXS album
@@eviekelpie1 It really stood out on that first listen. They seemed to have so much fun playing it especially Andrew, Tim and Jon. All these years it and 'Never Tear Us Apart' are still my faves. The latter from getting to see the live performance in Dallas at Texas Stadium closing out the show featuring The Smithereens, Ziggy Marley, Iggy Pop, and Guns 'n' Roses. That sax solo in the middle was an absolute show-stopper.
I was fortunate enough to see them back in the 80’s. They were great live!!
I saw them in the early 90's at an outdoor festival in the DC area. They were the headliners and really delivered live.
Me too! I saw them when they were the warm-up band for Men At Work, and their main hits were "The One Thing" and "Don't Change." And I agree, they were awesome live!
I saw them open for the Go-Gos in ‘84.
Saw them in the '80's too. Great show!
@@writerjohnmcnally - Wow, that must have been amazing! I saw the Go-Gos when they opened for David Bowie. I can' t remember who opened for INXS when I saw them.
If Michael Huchinson was still alive INXS would have been just as big and influential as U2 are. He was an amazing talent.
They deserve a spot in Rock Hall of Fame
They already were,u2 went downhill after war whilst INXS were on the up. I know bono loved Michael
Hutchence 🤘
I doubt that he would have been as big a db bono...
@@Joedirt3349 Easily. INXS had ten times the hits U2 had.
The two of you are my favorite of the first time hearing shows. Watching you is better then listening to the music, your reactions are truly original and the joy you show Is certainly genuine. In my eyes, you’re just really nice people, and you show it each and every time in words and actions. Thank you for being you.
This is my favorite INXS song. They have so many good songs. I recommend
Don’t Change and The One Thing.
Those are their two best imho

@@leefriedman9882 the songs from Shaboo Shooba are all good!
IMHO this is BY FAR the best song INXS did and definitely my favourite INXS track. Essential driving music in the late 80's. This is still a track I listen to regularly along with "New Sensation". Just awesome, awesome music. Even now. In the 2020's. Oh yeah!
INXS are music Gods here in Australia! We love, love love them now and forever!! 💛💚💙
Yeah we do!!
From America. My favorite band of all time!! Saw them in person here. Front row. One of the best nights of my life. MH died 2 months later. I was beyond devastated....like so many.
An often overlooked aspect of INXS is how incredibly well their albums were recorded. Whoever produced and mixed their albums did an awesome job. Their recordings are always very dynamic sounding.
They famously used a different producer for every album as they wanted a new sound each time.
@@MrBrettley Bob Clearmountain's mixes made for that punchy sound just as he did for Bryan Adams

For sure- so much so that some critics tried saying their live album was done in the studio lol
Listen like Thieves album is my fav!
Jay & Amber, you'll love their "The One Thing" and "Suicide Blonde"!!
edit- "The One Thing" was BLOCKED 5/22/24 as they tried to post.
Yes!!! I recommended Don't Change, but each suggestion I go OMG THAT TOO!😃 So good!!❤
Suicide Blonde definitely!
They've done The One Thing,I believe. How about Listen like Thieves??
Agreed and Agreed!!
@@brianmcmaster5112 i don't see The One Thing posted.
Michael was such a talent and so sexy handsome ❣️
But.....a tragic story ending once again
R.I.Paradise Michael 🙏 🙏 🙏.
#INXS
The tune they were playing on the piano as the camera moved into the room was the beginning of "Never tear us apart". That was the song that had the short but passionate sax solo that Amber almost swooned over! lol :) I saw INXS in 1997 just a few months before Michael died. Such a tragic loss. Let me tell you... in 1997 his voice was just as good and just as powerful as his recorded voice in the 80's Superstar voice who's likes will never be heard again.

"Don't Change," one of their earlier works has always been a favorite of mine.
Jon Farriss is a beast of a drummer. He's not a background part of INXS. Personality wise, as well as musically, he's always a standout. I can't suggest enough, What You Need or Suicide Blonde Live from Wembly Stadium in 1991. Please make sure you choose the remastered version so you can enjoy this show the way we did during that tour. They were known as one of the best live bands in the world for a reason.
Totally agree with everything you said. As a band they were tight as hell, but Jon Farriss always brought that "personality" to the songs.
INXS at Wembley...best concert I've ever been to!....what a vibe!! ..a proud Aussie 🤘🤘🦘
Probably my favourite INXS song. This, for me, is one of those songs where no matter how many times I listen to it, I'll never get sick of it
INXS was a top band of the 80s/early 90s. Check out some early 80s INXS tunes: Don't Change and The One Thing. Both are 🔥🎶
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Having been lucky enough to see this band in concert a couple of times during the late 80's and early 90's I consider myself very blessed.
And just to add a footnote to my comment, your next INXS song should be "Suicide Blonde"
I also saw them twice and both shows were fantastic. I did see one of the last shows before Michaels death. Although his life was in shambles and dealing with the brain injury, his performance was just as flawless as Wembley, years before!

My all time favorite 80's band. You can never get enough INXS. "Suicide Blonde" would be a great song for y'all to check out next.
So glad you guys have discovered just how good this band was. I have loved them since "Don't Change" and it hurt pretty deeply when Michael died. If you want to see baby INXS, do "Don't Change". If you want to hear their best song that never became a hit, and that could easily be on the radio today, do "Elegantly Wasted". :-D
Good times from the lost boys soundtrack is fire!!! It’s a duet with jimmy Barnes, he is a great singer also, it’s impressive that Michael can sing toe to toe with him
Good Times is great
A rock classic, hope they listen to this!
INXS in my top 5 bands ever. All members are extremely talented. Michael and Andrew, the guy on the piano, wrote the songs...Andrew all the music & MIchael the lyrics. They were pretty much in the top 2-3 bands in the world. Hit after hit after hit. Saw them live once, Michael glanced at me & I screamed, "He looked at me!!" like a crazed fan, it was hilarious.
Great song. Early INXS is a must. Stay Young, The One Thing, Just Keep Walking, To Look At You, Don't Change, Dancing On The Jetty.
All my favourites
Just Keep Walking ids my fave INXS track
@@runforitscooby I love that early INXS song. It was their first hit in Australia!
INXS never disappoints, one of the bands my older sister used to listen to all the time. Here's some more hits: "Spy Of Love" "Mediate" "Elegantly Wasted" "Don't Change" "Beautiful Girl" "Not Enough Time" "Kiss The Dirt (Falling Down The Mountain)" "The Stairs" "Guns In The Sky" "Heaven Sent" "Good Times" "The Strangest Party (These Are The Times)" "By My Side" "This Time" "Baby Don't Cry" "Stay Young." Have fun choosing!
I have always loved them! I always liked What you need. My Favorite was Need You Tonight. We lost Michael too young. Rip Michael Hutchinson
You need to watch them live. Suicide Blonde live at Wembly is so good. The whole concert is good. Live they sound just as good as their records!
Agree ❤️
What can you say about this band is that they had it all. The funk rock the smooth vocals and sex appeal the musicians. One word incredible.
INXS "THE ONE THING" is my favorite of all their songs (original video). ❤️
DITTO!!
I love INXS, I play their greatest hits every day. love to see you do more from this group.
My favorite songs are What you need and taste it. but really any song from this group is so good. so many great hits.
So very happy you are playing this! Michael Hutchence (RIP) was such a talent!! Quirky, almost eccentric, but fabulous!
Rest in peace Michael Hutchence!!....one of the greatest voices of the 80s and 90s.
The guys in this band are, everyone of them, flexing. they all shine! They really do have their unique sound, and always the dance pulse.
I’m glad you did a video that showed some footage of them playing live. You really have to see Michael Hutchence in action to truly appreciate him. 💓 You should check out I Send A Message (great video, super funky) and Suicide Blonde (great harmonica) and Burn For You (amazing instruments, beautiful song).
Jay and Amber you've got to check out INXS live performance at Wembley Stadium 1991-"Suicide Blonde" and " New Sensation" performances. I've seen them in concert. They know how to electrify a crowd.
I was fortunate to see them live. They were incredible and Michaels voice is huge, you could hear him over the amplifiers 5 rows back from the stage.
One of INXS really good songs is The One Thing. It rates right up there with New Sensation. For me it was the first song I remember ever hearing from the band.
One of my all time favorite bands!! Thanks.
Don't Change. Their best song!
Thank you for doing more INXS!!! They have soooo many good songs. Disappear, Bitter Tears. Any song from their Wembley stadium show is great. They were phenomenal live performers, Michael's vocals live are as good as any studio recording. You should try New Sensation live at Wembley, to see how they do it live.
The album KICK rates up there with the best albums of all time. Every song is killer.
I absolutely love INXS such an amazing band.
I always thought of INXS as how the Doors would sound if they traveled forward in time and got to hear Duran Duran.
I loved Michael Hutchence so much. Loved how he slides in the videos, so beautiful, gone way too soon.
Both Michael and Andrew Farris ( seen in the beginning) went to my hubby's high school. Davidson High School, Northern beaches of Sydney!
Guys, this band has 3 brothers (Andrew, keyboards, Tim, lead guitar, and Jon, drums). Magic!
INXS was so much fun.... brings back memories of late 80s early 90s. Such a fun and fantastic band. Suicide Blonde is a great song.
Seeing INXS live was always an out of this world experience. You knew you were in the presence of greatness - everytime!
Haven’t heard this in years, brings back happy memories! Rob Squad please listen to U2, Stuck in a moment. Was written about Michael Hutcheson.
INXS has a mix of rock, funk and soul.
Rock:
The One Thing
Don't Change
Shine Like It Does
Burn For You
Suicide Blonde
Funk:
Elegantly Wasted
I Send A Message
Original Sin
Soul:
Disappear
Not Enough Time
Beautiful Girl
Amber would love all of these
I saw INXS on their Suicide Blonde tour, it was so awesome.
A unique band with perfect balance. Each member truly appreciated their role within the sound. Their earliest hit "Don't Change" would be a powerhouse for a fresh listener.
👆👆👆👆👆👆🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁........
I love Don't Change they look like skinny young kids because of course they were at the time.
love those guys. so
lucky to have seen them a couple of times before and after they blew up. ‘don’t change’ is one of my top ten all fav songs.
👆👆👆👆👆👆🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁🎁..........,
I've been to about 400 concerts. I've seen The Stones, Van Halen with Roth, GnR, etc... Michael Huthcence was by far and away the most dynamic front man I've ever seen. He had 18,000 people in the palm of his hand. He was all over the stage. He put out 110%. Sound crew were on their A game. They sounded great! The band killed it. R.I.P. Michael! Gone far too soon.
Michael was my age, such a shock at his passing. He had a real presence about him
“Need You Tonight” was my favorite. This band was stellar. Michael H was so enigmatic and his voice was beautiful, powerful, reminiscent of Jim Morrison.
Love INXS!! Don't Change, The One Thing & This Time hit MTV & I was hooked ❤
One of their best songs (to me) is called Mediate.
Estoy seguro que a Amber le encantará "Beautiful Girl" de INXS , altamente recomendable.
A rare moment when I also haven't heard the song before. I was never a huge fan of INXS but this song is damn cool! Hope you guys had a great day, and thanks for another awesome reaction!
One of my favourite INXS songs is Falling Down the Mountain (Kiss The Dirt). Always felt bad for the rest of the band - it was impossible to replace Michael after he died in 1997 (although they tried very hard to do so).
Literally every track off “KICK” is absolutely perfect!
I love INXS! Bitter Tears and their song "Don't Change" are a couple of my favorite songs. You can't go wrong with any of their songs. They're that good!
We want more INXS!!!
You two lovely people should start watch their live performances, you won't be disappointed. Perhaps "Suicide blonde" next, but live from Wembley.
Original sin, bitter tears, guns in the sky, disappear, the stairs, by my side, lately, the loved one, kick, what you need, new sensation, never tear us apart - all of them live from Wembley. The whole concert was mind blowing, not to be missed.
That's not all, so many more songs left to listen to.. Great band.
Amber, your fav is New Sensation? You NEED to see the live version of their concert at Wembley!! the entire crowd is jumping in unison!!! So good. Their energy is off the chart! Any song from that concert is fantastic!!!
Best INXS song ever, to me. Love love love this song
They should be considered for the Rock and Roll HOF!!!
Love INXS, R.I.P. Michael Hutchence
Hard to find album is their best - Shabooh Shoobah with songs like "The One Thing", "Black and White", "Don't Change" - do yourself a favor and listen to these treasures!
In my top 3 bands. I followed them so closely! I got to see them on the X tour in New York. Amazing!😊❤️
I love Beautiful Girl. Listened to it non-stop a few years ago. I 'm better now. LOL
Amber, you are spot on, he's one of the best drummers in the biz
I love love love that song. My favorite from them.
So sad that we lost Michael so early. This band was set to just blow the roof off of the music world.
My favorite is Devil Inside by INXS and INXS is amazing
I cannot express enough how extraordinary this entire album was. Every single song on "Kick" is a banger.
Released in 1986, INXS collaborated with Jimmy Barnes on the song "Good Times," which is featured on The Lost Boys soundtrack. Awesome song-and movie!
They were mind blowing in concert when i was lucky enough at 16 to see them in london....what a sound...
One of my favourites of theirs! I envy you the opportunity to delve into their incredible back catalogue. My favourite band, who were great live and with a fantastic songbook.
"ORIGINAL SIN" , "KICK", " SPY OF LOVE" "BITTER TEARS". MORE INXS!!!!!
Sometimes I forget about how good he was.
"Don't Change"! That song is sooo good.
Early INXS..
the three Farris brothers in this band is why the musicality is so spot on
1st time i heard inxs middle school MTV but it was the one thing. My class song anthem is don't change
I went to a small College in Pennsylvania in the late ‘80s. We heard about a concert in our Gym. Never heard of this band, but had nothing better to do. Only about 200 hundred people there. It was INXS and it was the very first concert on their Kick Tour. It was so good! We knew they were going to be big.
Everytime I hear and see INXS or any other Aussie bands on any reaction channel, it makes me proud to be an Aussie!! 😎💯
Michael Hutchence was a fantastic vocals and front man . He was gorgeous gone too soon. Such a wide range of vocals such great talent. Great documentary of Michael Hutchence is called Mystify. They were unique . Do INXS with Ray Charles it is called Please. It is so good.
Calling All Nations is without a doubt one of the best albums ever. INXS is such a talented group of musicians. RIP MH
Wish they'd react to the song itself.
You should watch the Live performance from Wembley Stadium from 1991. Perfection!! I saw INXS three times in the 80s and early 90s. Michael Hutchence was a charismatic god on stage! He captivated the audience and entertained us the entire time. I still cannot believe Michael is no longer with us, even after all this time. I'm so glad we have all of their videos and albums so a part of him will always be with us.
*JON FARRIS FOREVER!!!!* I am all about the drummer of INXS. This band is pure LUST and DESIRE.
You should watch their live performances. They sound so good
Michael Hutchense captivated an audience. Gone too soon. The whole band is so cool too. This is my favourite song of theirs and the way this video starts with them doing the beginning of Never Tear Us Apart on the piano is classic. You have to check out the official video for Kiss The Dirt where they are in the Australian Outback. Beautiful Girl, Original Sin, Don't Change, What You Need and The Stairs are just a few of many more.
INXS like a lot of Australian bands honed their craft in the pubs across Australia…. Hence probably the Punch that your taking about…. In their music …. When the hit the world stage they were already performance perfect….. just another top notch Aussie Band…..with a deep catalogue.
Great bunch of guys. Met them years ago. Got my kick tape cover signed by every one.
These guys were at one time considered the greatest live band in the world.
That comment about packing a punch. We have Andrew Farris (piano player at the start) to thank for that. He adds all those finer details, he's a musical genius. Between him and Michaels poetic lyrics, it's magic. Jon Farris (the baby bro) on the drums and Tim Farris on lead guitar. Kirk Pengilly does rhythm guitar and sax and Gary Beers on bass.
Don’t Change is a great upbeat tune that makes you feel like you should be riding in a convertible down the Highway on s sunny day with your hair blowing in the wind. Def a feel good song.
Now we need to hear the song that put INXS on the map- _"The One Thing."_
I had the pleasure of seeing INXS early on in a small venue. They were phenomenal. Park Center Charlotte 87ish. Y'all make me smile.
INXS are top tier. 🇭🇲
Saw them live three times in each time was something special above and beyond.
Michael can not just sing, but the guy has rhythm as well, he definitely You have to get the crowd going🙏R.I.P
had the good fortune to meet Tim Farris a few times when I lived in Sydney and the unfortunate honor of owning the only guitar he'd never been able to tune. top bloke, amazing band.
