one memory i have from when i was a kid was about this one reappearing nightmare where i would wake up in a empty field and i would hear a woman start singing in a high tune and that’s how i knew that the “tickle monster” was coming and i would start running but the field would turn into a treadmill sort of thing and so i would be running and running but i wouldn’t get anywhere and the “tickle monster” would come up from behind me and he would tickle me to death. but since he came up from behind me i never saw what he looked like so i have no clue if he might have been the backwards shoe monster you were talking about or any of the other “tickle monsters”.

My grandma or mom would always tickle me and I felt so helpless, even though sometimes I had fun. Now I hide my feet and squeeze my arms and my sides when I feel vulnerable or paranoid. To add to that, I had a nightmare when I was about 6 in a basement with a large pitch black shadow walking past me while I hid behind some boxes. I knew him as the tickle monster for some reason.
I never met the tickle monster I met the boogeyman but not that one as a kid.
As someone who has polish descent, my parents have never, and i repeat NEVER did any type of tickle monster thing. I guess it's because of the fact that Poland doesn't do that type of stuff

Omg! I've actually had dreams where a person I didn't know or sometimes a force unseen was tickling me. But the tickling in my side was painful tickle. and to make matters worse, when it happened I was stuck and couldn't move. I was powerless to stop it and it was literally torture. It's happened to me a few times but thankfully nothing recent.

Maybe. Whenever I was tickled too much, It would hurt. But tickled to death would be too much. Once I was tickled too much and vomited, so it might happen multiple times. And apparently when someone laughs TOO HARD it’s possible for them to die.
I just hate being touched in general cause I karate chop anyone who gets their hand near my side or stomach

I remember in the middle of the night I kept hearing a voice by my door whispering, “here comes the tickle monster…” over and over again in a raspy voice. I hid under my blanket and started crying. Then I soon feel asleep and every since then I feel like something is always watching me while I sleep

Yeah, I remember my mom posing as the "Tickle Monster" when I was a kind. She also would say "Look out! The kissey shark is gonna get you" right before she'd give a lot of kisses on my cheek. I never woould have guessed that one of them had any fokelore behind it. After watching this video, I now think that the "Tickle Monster sounds cool" even though I hate being ticked.

This was a VERY VIVID and much reoccurring nightmare I had as a kid for afew years! I used to dream that gloved hands would come out from under my bed at night , pin my ankles down and my arms over my head , while more hands would come out and slip my Sox off my feet ( if I were wearing any that night ) and unbutton my pajama top to the final result where more hands would crawl onto my bed and tickle my armpits ribs and feet relentlessly! These dreams were so vivid I’d wake up laughing hysterically with my arms over my head. I’d be laughing so hard that apparently I was heard in the other bedrooms at times by my parents and older sisters to the point that the next morning they’d comment “ you have the tickle dream again” the next morning! I was ( and still am ) extremely ticklish and I was regularly tickled to hysterics by them , relatives , babysitters… pretty much anyone who knew that about me

@@gilmourwaters 😂 fair, plus sometimes when it’s really hot it feels good to stick your feet out from under the covers. I still get an unsettling feeling when I do that though lol. The bottoms of my feet are too ticklish for me to feel comfortable when they’re exposed 😭
@@Kenny-mu2xb same here… that really came to be an issue way back when I was in a hospital after a bad car accident. I had fractures in both legs and was in leg splints for awhile . Both legs forced to stay straight , feet exposed all the time in a hospital bed . With visitors and friends who knew how ticklish my feet are and felt it was time to have some fun! Especially my then gf who really left me have it . Also nurses who had to assist me in morning sponge bath to get areas I couldn’t which included my feet. I tell ya a nurse who know a tickle spot is dangerous 😂

So I like watching “scary-ish” CZcams vids, movies, etc just cuz it’s intriguing, and I went into my room and it was dark with no lights on, and my step mom was laying on my bed just chilling on her phone, so all I saw was a glowing, grinning face on my bed and it scared the life out of me

Personally, I had an experience that scared me for a long time, I was littler, and my mom still read me bedtime stories and I was bored out of my mind and stuck my hand under my bed and felt something like pet my hand, it scared me i checked underneath my bed and saw nothing and got really scared, for years I slept with 4 or more lights on and always placed my dog on the floor before getting up at night because I was terrified,

I have a story that only children that are scared of the dark can probably relate to. I do remember once being a little girl and having a dream where I encountered the tickle monster in my bedroom but he was more playful than anything and lightly started tickling my stomach for only four seconds before he chuckled at me and then dashed off to my closet and I woke up

My parents tickled me and my siblings, but to help our lungs 🫁 especially when we were young. I don’t think I was ever afraid of my feet sticking out from under the blankets but now that I’m older I try to keep them underneath as long as I not hot.
