So I tried...
Well, the result was quite unexpected but it was good experiments.

id heat the end and hammer it flat then sand it! might work nicer then the bead, still sounded cool!
I'd like to try but I don't have an anvil or something alternative, so I couldn't try that sadly... lol 😆 I would like to do that one day!

Congrats! Nice, well made acoustic experiment! I think you should file away part of the wire next to the bridge to get more resonance and sustain.
You could have cold forged these all u need is an anvil or chunk of railroad tie an a hammer and players hammer them till there flat if it's not would like a guitar string an it's a solid stick super simple it's how they make mbira tines in Africa
I have a friend who has anvil. Maybe I should try that way!
