Great video and really nice presentation! Working FIFO I found myself up at 0400, back at camp by 1800 and in bed by 2030. You really only get those precious 2.5-3 hours a night by yourself to relax and unwind. The last thing I wanted to do was socialise with people who I have worked with all day (all though most of them were likeable and great to work with) It is great as long as you have a set timeline to exit the industry. It isn't great for ones well being to be stuck in it for many years, whether you have a family/children to look after or single without those responsibilities.

Sheesh the only downside is your far away from your family and the heat but this isnt a bad job at all it's a place for only the employees? Or is it just a location setup by the company for the employees to stay for the time at work but cousin works in Australia he said he works somewhere in perth he's an engineer i believe he's works for something also related to mining not sure exactly? I should just probably ask him before i get confused.
Yes is not a bad job! You can have more quality time with family during your week off! The company builds camps only for workers to stay while on site during their week at work! Most part of people fly in from Perth to the mines around Western Australia!

Try to get some tickets like working at heights, confined space and forklift and ewp if you can as they are really handy to have! And once you are working there try to talk to people so you can get more info for other type of jobs if the one you doing is not what you want! Good luck

How to get jobs in mining ?
There are plenty of jobs of mining! Depending on your skills! But easiest way is to move to WA as mining are hiring only people living here! After that if you go on seek there are plenty of jobs in hospitality with sodexo for example of in the actual processing plant you can try to get at job as TA to start if you don’t have maintenance experience

I work in the planning and scheduling department for shutdowns

I work in the planning department! But there is admin roles on site as well 😃

@@Veto_I worked for years on the processing plant as operator and than the opportunity came out to be part of the planning and scheduling team! Once you are on a mine site you will came across many other job opportunities within the company
