    Im just gonna pause it at 1:55 and reply cause I know what you're gonna say. If I'm wrong then uh its gonna be awkward, but anyways.. I totally agree with you.
    I started on a '22 GSX-S1000 which is even easier than the zx10r because of the wide bars and upright position. Superbikes with inline four engines are so smooth and honestly "lacks" power in regular riding rev ranges. The horsepower figures are irrelevant until you go into the last 3k on the tachometer.
    I actually decided to get a Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE to supplement my Suzuki because most of my riding is in the city streets, and it sucks to not access the power without risking jail time. I'm expecting the Hypermotard to be significantly more difficult to ride because of its early on throttle torque and eagerness to lift the front wheel.

      @Roadbadger  Před 21 dnem +1

      Nailed it. I’m sure once I get the itch for another purchase I’ll go with a ZH2 or equivalent. A naked bike with that low end torque 🔥🔥🔥

      @k1mura92 Před 21 dnem +1

      @@Roadbadger
      I can't speak for the zx10r but the GSX-S1000 has a lot of torque already at the low-mid range. You can stick it in any gear and it just pulls. But an inline four is an inline four, so it doesn't really come alive until the top end.
      Even though theres enough speed in terms of whats needed / practical, there's just something about not getting to use the performance of the bike in regular city riding. Like an inline four is so well behaved and quiet until you spool it up.
      The zx10r and ZH2 both are totally bonkers bikes but I think the only "fix" is to get a low end grunt bike like a V-Twin.
      With all that being said though, its different riding styles for different purposes. I'm keeping my inline four because I love spooling that thing up and knowing I got a freaking rocket between my legs. Its kinda like owning a Ferrari - you're not gonna use all that power, but its nice to have. But at the same time that inline four can never give that low end grunt a V-twin can. So thats why I feel I "need" two bikes. But obviously some people prefer one over the other. I love both so I can't choose lmao.
      Anyways this rant is going way off topic... LOL. If I were a motovlogger I'd make a video talking about how the "beginner bike" stuff is just bs in that people are focusing too much on peak horsepower and not enough on the ergonomics, how early that power comes on and how the bike fits the riders physique. I.e., put a short rider on a 900mm bike with 80hp and thats gonna be more dangerous than him getting on a 160hp MT-10 that he can actually physically handle. Or a tall obese guy on a freakin MT-03 is way worse "beginner bike" than him just hopping on a Hayabusa that actually suits his body lol.

      @@k1mura92 If you want a low end grunt inline four bike, you need to try the 1998-03 YZF R1. Put -1 on the front sprocket and she will scare the shit out of you even down low.

  • @collins735
    @collins735 Před 21 dnem

    Modern emissions laws have neutered bikes to the point where they feel weak low in the revs. Bikes around the early 2000s ride how you expect a litre bike to ride. Plus today it’s all computer managed. What you ask of the throttle isn’t what the throttle gives you nowadays. It gives you what it thinks you can handle lol.

    Does the word SHIFT mean anything to you. The bike you are on is capable of 100 mph in 1st gear when taken to redline! Go to your local track and take a track school. We all crawled before we could walk. Motorcycling should be fun, not a death sentence! Enjoy and Live.
