These are similar reasons for why my wife and I moved to Sweden (even though we always had great health insurance). I’ve been a big fan of the US for most of my life, but the decline is so severe now. The polarization is awful. Can’t imagine moving back anytime soon.
The US is developed but way behind on social programs, every city in the US is over run with homeless the next wave of inflation is going to take care of California starting with San Francisco
You look beautiful 😍. Yes, agree with you. Fellow Jersey girl who loves and respects Swedish culture a lot. Your videos are super fun and also informative. Hope you have a great day !
Their population is 3% of Americas. Normally this sort of system works for smaller populations because they can all agree where they want their taxes spent. In the US, it’s just not plausible. Also, Sweden is actually a more conservative country if you see how their taxes are being spent. But like I said, smaller populations typically all want the same things.
There is no proof that universal healthcare wouldn't work in a country with too large a population. There is one reason the American system stays on - the lobby of the insurance companies is insanely strong. This is the only true reason. They want to keep their right to their profits and their power, and the political power in the US leans more to this side than caring for people. So they have invented seemingly factual reasons why it just "couldn't" work in the US forever. And they have brainwashed the people good enough, so this will probably never change there...
Healthcare in Sweden is so overrated, i have to cough up blood before a doctor will look at me and give me antibiotics. A woman i know had her baby ingest her own stool because the nurses wanted to wait for a natural delivery. It's a terrible terrible system of healthcare. Sweden is good for most things but it absolutely sucks regarding health care.
In Sweden, Denmark, Norway, there are legislation for patients security rights [patientsäkerhetslagen] in place, that includes the right to demand tests, treatments, etc. that aligns with your symptoms/situation. You should know your rights. Docs and nurses can and will suggest a course of action based on their professional view and sometimes budget guidelines, but cannot force you to take that route. Like everywhere and anything else, if you don't know and exercise your rights, you'd probably get sub-optimal treatment.
@sdsl_pro yes but why do i have to take the escalation route for basic care? And it's not easy, just adds to the mental distress. My friend who has found a lump in her breast went to see a doc who suspects it to be malignant, wrote in her file that she needs to get a scan ASAP. No response from any hospital for 2 weeks. She spent the last weekend writing remisses. And finally got a call. A crowded country like India offers you better healthcare for the money you pay. Here the taxes burden those who earn more yet the health care is supposedly "equally" indifferent to all. Very Fair!
My husband, myself, and our 4 kids are moving to Sweden for the US. Im so much more excited after watching this.
Have you moved?
Hope you like sweden! Hoppas du stannar! 🇸🇪

Would like to see/hear the rest of what you had to say
Did you actually believe that we shouldn't have health care as a right before moving there?

Hola Kim Bergling You are great! Hurra hurra! 👏✌️
Hi Kimberly Sorce !
Has there been a car accident? I hope you're okay that you didn't hurt yourself.
Skål Tom 🙂☕
It would be interesting if you did a video comparing espresso house coffee to Starbucks coffee.
Literally the most uninteresting idea ever 😅
😂
Is this sarcasm?

Where are you living
After leaving Sweden your eyes got bigger.
?
But in Sweden, you pay 78% taxes and we pay only 48% taxes.
Haha, nobody pays 78%!
Lmao says who?! Actually in Sweden on an average salary you, as the earner, pay about 31,6 % income tax.
@@sdsl_proAnd taxes on food and everything else.

Fool, USA is the only western country without healthcare. The brainwashing has worked well with you, typical slave attitude.
um Sweden is like, the most progressive/liberal country in the world.

What? Many big nations have free healthcare or pay little for it.
And they more people the more taxes. More people more money.
