Can you explain the suction a little more on this pump? Does it have a “suck, suck, suck, release” type suction or is it the “in, out, in, out” style suction?

Hi Brooklyn, this pump is a traditional suck/release, suck/release pump.

The issue I am having with this machine is the Diaphragm keeps getting stuck into the Diaphragm Top when turning the machine one resulting in clogging up suction. This machine is so frustrating, had to purchase a manual one.

Did you put the white membrane on the smaller clear piece before assembly? That should help.

Make sure all the parts are put together tightly, and if it's still not working, you can call Motif for a warrenty replacement, or you can schedule with an IBCLC, like my team, to go over proper use and see what's missing

No, you want to avoid getting any liquid in the tubes.
