- Here we have compared
Traxxas 3S 2872X lipos 5000mAh
Awanfi 3S 5000mAh
Goldbat 3S 5200mAh
They were charged at 10amps internal resistance measured and then discharged at 20A continuous
All was done on a very accurate iCharger 4010
Interesting results!
Always appreciate your videos. How long would you say a Traxxas Lipo battery would last threw out the years before the battery’s is starting to diminish? I purchased some TRAXXAS 3s 8400mah Lipo batteries brand new in the box. that was made from Traxxas back in 2018
We have found biggest problem with the traxxas lipos is the small balance wires break
Thanks, appreciate the info
Currently trying same expirment (though less technical) running various packs in various cars ( 6pairs ,6 cars) and also running each car on lower battery power 8 on 6s .. 6s on 4s .. preliminarily results traxxas bats do the same or better.. better enough to justify price🤷♂️… but gives me more reason to run the cars💪
I think with the more expensive brands of lipo the quality control is better. The cheaper ones you get good and bad ones
It’s surprising how poorly the cheap batteries performed. If they can’t hold the stated amount of charge then should they even be sold as a 5000?
Very true, and in real time use they will perform even worse as the voltage drops off and likely to kick in any low voltage protection earlier!
Thxxx, nice rewiev 💚 lg
On the Goldbat, was it the very first charge and result from !? Hope u do more than the first stock charging from 3.8v
This was after a few charges more than enough for them to 'wake up'
So for 1/2 the price you get 2 batteries that are about 13 min run time (26 min vs 20 min) but you need to change the batteries much more often. But I bet their total life is about 1/2 or less of what the Traxxas batteries lifespan is.
So I see the benefit to buying the “expensive” batteries. Less battery changes for slightly less run time. A better quality, less likely to explode battery, and one that will likely live much longer.
Generally you get what you pay for. There are some good priced lipos out there , we have found some and reviewed on another video.

Oh ok cool! Can you like me to that video? I’ll look for it too
If u can’t afford the official branded batteries then you shouldn’t have even got the rc
Ha ha, have plenty of other lipos
@@TeamRC3D oh yea ik you do lol I’m just talking about the majority of people who cheap out
@@Chargersctpk yes for sure and people who run puffed lipos - thats dangerous
