  • In this video, I show you the four different methods you can use to roast peanuts in a frying pan.
    #roastedpeanuts #howtofrygroundnut #howtofrygroundnutswithfryingpan #howtoroastpeanutsathome
    To fry or roast groundnuts at home in a frying pan, I use semolina, salt, garri, and sometimes clean sand but tye thing with using sand to roast peanuts is that if not properly cleaned, particles of sand might remain in the roasted peanuts.
    The four methods that I use to roast peanuts in a frying pan are as follows:
    1. Roasted peanuts in a frying pan using semolina.
    2. Homemade roasted peanuts using table salt.
    3. Frying groundnuts at home in a frying pan using garri.
    4. Using clean sand at the bottom of the frying pan to fry groundnuts.
    These four methods of homemade roasted peanuts are excellent. However, you should only use sand to fry groundnuts when the other three ingredients are not available. Sand should be the last option to fry groundnuts in a frying pan.
    Why sand is not my first option is the reason stated earlier on. Particles of sand in food are not the best for a hungry or peanuts craving person.
    On my blog, there is a blog post on how to roast groundnuts in a frying pan with the methods and steps explained in pictures.
    Especially how to get tye roasted groundnuts even more crunchy using very hot water. The picture steps are posted there. Here is the link to see if you are interested;

    Dear Eya, thanks for the video. Quite educative especially the idea of not encouraging the use of sand to fry the peanuts. Please my question is given the varieties of peanuts, which type is best to have a good crunchy effect. Thanks

    Thanks so much for sharing...please is it really healthy to use salt to roast groundnut as it may be too salty..
    2ndly, if one wants to use salt, do I need to salt the hot water while soaking the groundnut?

    • @EyaAyambem
      @EyaAyambem  Před 2 lety +1

      No it won't be salty. Don't salt wet groundnuts if you are going to use salt on the bottom of the pan.

    Good day ma.I tried frying groundnuts and I discovered that the colour changed quite alright,but some never had the "kran kran sound(crunchy sounds).And the once that had the started losing them after a day.
    Pls what might be the cause?

    • @EyaAyambem
      @EyaAyambem  Před 2 lety

      Wash raw groundnuts with very hot water, dry very well before using.

  • @aminatowolabi5716

    Did you wash the groundnut in salt water before frying

    • @EyaAyambem
      @EyaAyambem  Před 3 lety

      Not salted water For times when I wash before frying, what I do is wash with just hot water and then sprinkle a dash of salt before drying.
