    People often erroneously speak of frying groundnut but NO that is wrong language.
    Groundnut is not fried but roasted..
    Frying is a cooking process which involves the use of oil but roasting involves using dry heat either directly on a grill or indirectly using other sources of dry heat..
    CORRECTION...

    You are using garri to fry the peanut, I know for sure that you are not doing this in Ghana, because you are wasting food. That garri you wasted will be somebody’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Ghana. Again, they still use sand to fry the peanut, nothing has happened to anyone of them. Nothing happened to you either when you were there eating sand peanut or groundnuts, think about that.

    • @joyfulcook
      @joyfulcook  Před 3 lety +5

      I understand your concerns, But just because sand was used then doesn’t make it right either, we learn to unlearn and then re-learn , if there’s a better way to get things done why not? And in Nigeria where I’m from, garri is readily available, almost everyone own a cassava farm but if anyone choose to still fry with sand I’ll let them and just do what’s ok for me.

    • @kakaosoko9363
      @kakaosoko9363 Před 2 lety

      The gari used is not wasted as it can be continously reused to roast other batches of peanuts.
