    Thanks for making this video! Stupid instructions said to use the ESC wire that goes to the receiver. This worked immediately.

    Hi! I am trying to program my JLB Speed 3 with programming card but it only allows me to manipulate the first 5 settings. Same if I do it by the set button on the ESC. Why is that no access to the advanced settings?

    • @bakan723
      @bakan723  Před 4 lety

      Every ESC is different with this. Hobbywing ones work just like in the vid. Arrma ones have different settings list so you can manage it but you must look at the Arrma available options. For JLB I would look up the specific options that are available for that ESC. I think Arrma only had 4 settings.

      I have a hobbywing ESC, but it only does 5 settings also. Check the "programmable list", if you have the rc instructions.
      Just found out my Thunder ONLY has 5 settings I can program with a card.

    Hello dear friend
    thanks for sharing your experience
    do you have any idea why a hobeywing esc max 8, should burn right after connecting the battery and pressing the button ?
    it made a voice and after that it first blink red then afew green and after that makes a low sound and doesnt remain solid green.
    the battery was 6s and no receiver was connected !

      Different escs will have different options. You need to look up what each number is for your specific esc. It should still be able to change all options that are available.

      There should still be 3 pins that a fan can plug into. You plug into these 3 pins.

      Well for the fan I like to use a company called wild turbo fans. But you will also need a mount. Not sure what size that motor is off hand but maybe try exotek fan mount.

    Wait....you said put the connector with the wires reversed??? Red on black, etc.
    I don't think so... positive should be hooked to positive, right??
    And neg to neg.

    • @bakan723
      @bakan723  Před 3 lety

      It is not going to harm anything to put the wires in the wrong way I have done it many times. The only thing that will happen is the program card won't boot. Just flip it around and it works.

    • @robertbeam8669
      @robertbeam8669 Před 3 lety

      @@bakan723 thanks. But, can you clarify? It IS red on red, and black on black, correct??
      Update: now my new card won't even turn on. No matter how I plug it in. Plus, it never gave me options for any value over 5!
      Bad card perhaps?

    • @bakan723
      @bakan723  Před 3 lety +1

      @@robertbeam8669 it has been many months since I made this video so I do not remember off the top of my head. But if I said in the video that it is backwards then I would go with what I said. Also not every item will have values above 5 some do not go above 3. Also it is completely different if you are trying this on a arrma vehicle or something with hobbywing equivalent

    • @bakan723
      @bakan723  Před 3 lety

      Jlb does not use the standard hobbywing menu options. So the numbers you see are not the ones listed. You should try to look up one specific to jlb.

      @@bakan723 oh. It’s listed as the ezrun hobby wing esc but I think you’re right I’m gonna have to get a different card. I’ve seen some CZcams videos where people use those white cards to do it.
