Looks like there is noticeable latency
It should work to extend an iPad pro display, you just need to have a mouse (and possibly a keyboard) connected. I use my iPad Pro M1 with a portable USB C display all the time when traveling for work. Works pretty well!

Also the low refresh rate while acceptable compromise for portable display doesn't make sense for an OLED display that should have ultrafast pixel response ...
For the money ? Its price is aimed at $600... for many just getting a ipad or tablet with android is cheaper and offers more functions. at $200 would be nice but at $600 and it takes space in your bag for basically one function task its not enough. It they added a hdmi dongle and some video tools might also be handy for video review/directors monitor but again you are competing against a say a ipad or android tablet with something like monitor+

some third party devices have built in Apple TV and the ability to do AirPlay mirror as well.
I just use my iPad for that. With Mac you don’t even have to connect Bluetooth manually. Just activate it in sidecar

I want something like this for my iPad Pro in a 24” size. When I heard the Studio Monitor had Apple silicon inside I thought it would allow wireless desktop extension but it never did.
Wireless has lags

Really nice. I can't do anything less than 500 nits.
I bought it to test it but connected without cables it has a transmission delay of more than 2 or 3 seconds, connecting it with the cable is great, another thing that I noticed is that I cannot connect it with any type of type c cable on the Nintendo switch and with those same cables I have tried connecting it to other portable monitors and there it does connect the Nintendo Switch, this monitor is surprising although also in less than 5 minutes the battery appears discharged from 100% to 88% and I don't like that anymore It is too fast that 12% has been downloaded
I'm just looking for a monitor that can mirror my Macbook Pro without a cable.
For me, I need silence, and the fan on the Macbook makes more noise than I like while recording sound.
So, If I use a wireless keyboard, and a wireless monitor, I can have full access to my computer, but have it on the other side of the sound proof wall, without running a cable.
I don't care if it's bluetooth, or if it uses a dongle to connect. Just no cable.
Know of a solution?
I'd prefer not to buy a monitor, and then have to buy a wireless HDMI dongle.
I’ve been burned by crowdfunding too many times to risk it again. I hope they do well and are able to bring it to market, and that’s when I’ll compare it to similar devices that are actually for sale.

Really wish my iPad could connect to my old MacBook without dongles and expensive subscriptions. If this company can pull that off as a drawing tablet then I’m sold.

excellent video friend but could you tell me how to connect it to the nintendo switch since with the type c cable that it came it cannot be connected and I tried with different type c cables but with none of them it connects and on other monitors I tried with those same cables and yes there the switch is connected

I have a Samsung but never even consider using Dex when I have a laptop. Literally useless feature (for me at least).
