Today I am joined by my good friend Jadon, and we discuss the ownership experience of a 2006 NC Mazda MX-5. With this being a 3rd Generation Limited model, we discuss the special features the car has, and also talk about what makes the MX-5 an all-time great sports car. Then we take the car out for some back-roads fun.

Its awesome seeing the NC get its due. The negatives about the NC were generated by a very few bulletin board haters who for whatever reason just couldn't keep their fingers off the keyboard. On the other hand Car & Driver Magazine awarded the NC 10 Best Cars for 8 years. That's more than any other generation of Miata.

That is a great looking NC1, I love the chrome windshield surround, fog lights, and the rocker panel trim. Wish mine had that. Absolutely gorgeous. The wheels look like NC3 offerings to me. A great combo.

Great discussion. I own a 06 miata as well and totally agree that they're fun, reliable, very affordable and cheap to maintain.

What did Mazda do differently to the American cars to make them 170hp instead of 158hp?
