I have been hurting a lot recently and sometimes get that way by the end of the day. I still haven’t been out much because of this virus so I think sometimes it all just gets to me. This video made me think so not complaining so much. This one was so good!!!!!

We were always taught coming up from our parents and our grandparents to always treat others as you want them to treat you and you are right the Lord put us here to help and to serve others and to love one another as he loves us. I've really shifted my mindset when it comes to homemaking and parenting etc. Some days can still be very overwhelming but God gives me strength to follow through, I have become so much happier with acceptance and gratitude. Love the beginning. Such a lovely start to the video. I absolutely adore your nightgown and robe, very classical from the last days of Christendom. I really like your style and home decor (colours, furniture shape, cutlery etc.) I don't think I can get into a 04:30 start, but it is biblical to wake early and I've lost that, when I was working and first stopped I was up by 7am, which seemed good, but now I've just lost it completely ... I definitely need to get back into good habits and routines and sorting out the home and stuff.
Grandparents, agreed, they sacrificed so much and were such good people (traditional Slavic European), I love mine very much and we as a family are caring for them now, and have been for a few years now. They know they're loved, but covid has made travel difficult, but my aunt is with them and caring for them, before that my mama.
What time you go to bed dear Nikki? Getting up at 4:30 seems so early! Do you nap during the day?

Between 8:30 and 9pm if I can. Sometimes I do need a nap which I don't feel bad about like I used.

I really enjoy your videos in the short time I have been watching them. You inspire me to slow down and savor my own motherhood/homemaking journey. It goes by way to fast!! I love your elegance and calm in this fast paced modern world. How do you have the energy/will power to wake up so early everyday? On the days I do get up early I feel great and I'm glad I did but I just don't have the endurance to do it everyday. Thank you for sharing your journey you are a true inspiration!!
Welcome! I’m so glad you found my channel! It’s great to know my videos have inspired you. My will truly comes from my why which is because I am showing up for my grandparents each morning and all those things that are important to me like presenting myself in the best way possible and not wanting to feel that frantic feeling. If I didn’t help them each day I likely wouldn’t get up as early but then my why would likely change to greeting the rising sun or something else that is special to me. Find what is special to you.

You probably won’t see this post but I have to say this video of yours really struck a chord with me. It’s my favorite out of all of your videos. I think because this area is a real struggle for me. I’m ashamed to admit that my ideal is getting 10 hours of sleep so it’s always so difficult to be consistent on getting up early. I’m generally racing around to get ready. I’ve even written out morning and evening routines but struggle to put them to action. I don’t understand what’s preventing me. You make it seem so easy and non-negotiable. I’d love to hear more about the struggles or transition that has got you there.

Hi Nikki I start my mornings by thanking God for the day and declaring that it's going to be a good day and good things are going to happen through me and to me. If my scheduled tasks get interrupted and I start to stress I say to myself what would Nikki do and then I get myself back on track. I am curious what time you go to bed and if you find you are able to successfully function with less hours of sleep if you awaken very early vs. staying up later and sleeping later. Also, if you could do a video talking more about your intermittent fasting plan that would be helpful.

Thank you! It's my goal to get to bed between 8:30 and 9pm. I definitely can't stay up as late as I used to. Sometimes this presents a problem, especially since it's difficult to get my kids to go to bed earlier but that's when I rely on my husband to help. I have to get up no matter what, especially because my grandparents rely on my. Sometimes a nap is in order which I'll touch on today. As far as fasting goes, making sure I stick within an eating window is helpful for me. I'll consider talking about it in the future. I appreciate you subscribing to his channel, thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing on this topic. Half way through, I was convicted and had to stop and pray. I used to get up early, same time as my hubby (4:30am) and the time just got later and later and I did finish my journaling/studying and planning until almost 11:00am😣...still in my pjs. ( I took care of my kiddos and started on homemaking, but because I started late...I’m all out of order. ) Anyways, a new hour is approaching and that a new start and I’m excited for the rest of the day. I know I've said this before, but, TRULY Nikki, your respect for your grandparents is so inspiring. I'm going to be bold in my comment; the world needs more influencers to speak up for the elderly right now! I had to delete my instagram account for my own sanity recently. I no longer wanted to be on a form of media that constantly promotes self-absorption. The "last straw" was the recent mask wearing debate. Something that, to a 50 year old, seems to be a simple, selfless act of respect for the older generation & health compromised (especially 70+ age) is being politicized & treated like an infringement of rights. It's too painful to see some people have such a strong opinion against this. It exemplifies how we treat the elderly and sick like they are invisible. God bless you for caring for your grandparents. They DO matter. And what you show on your channel DOES reach people & change hearts & minds for the better.❤❤
You are so right. Our elderly are not treated with the respect, love and care they deserve. Wearing a mask is the least we can do to protect them and it’s a very sad state of affairs that so many are too selfish to see it. Nikki gets so much respect from me for taking care of her grandparents the way she does. She’s setting an amazing example for her children. ❤️

I can relate with what you said about that rushed feeling in the morning. There is something satisfying in knowing that you made an effort to prepare yourself for the day...but when you’re just rushing everything, not only does it take away the quiet time that you have for yourself, but it truly does affect your mood/attitude for the rest of the day.
