Thinking about it more, not much has changed. James is still a beast, Kirk has grown a few pubes on his face, Cliff has ascended and, err, reborn as a Mexican, and Lars has been replaced with a right-handed Phil Collins. Mostly all good.
***** MetClubber for 15 years and a fan since '86. I know a right handed Phil Collins when I see one. The real Lars is at home thinking 'damn, Kirk has pubes on his face'.
+AngryWelshman exactly . I watch battery from Seattle 89' and ask myself "how is that the same fucking guy?"
by far tallicas best song...followed by the four horsemen then creeping death....class
you re right brother!!!!
Dyers eve
SkorpionPlays - Destiny like I said, disposable heroes, best Metallica track ever
The four horsemen me hole
Shaun Bennett I prefer Sanitarium, more of a personal history for me but probs Ride the Lightning would be my favorite
powerful lyrics on this song. Makes me think about how our veterans are currently treated by government agencies. men and women who put their lives on the line and then get treated poorly back home. It's truly shameful and this song speaks volumes about the subject.
The best Metallica song ever! What a performance!
Just the passion and feeling they put into it for this performance is amazing.
I love the ending how kirk plays the riff... i wish they could of done it in studio version
Im not sorry for sayng but these dudes frm day one had all the catchy riffs, leads, vox, drums blended smooth..this is a perfect metal band..they kno it..thats why they still do wht they want too..they never gave a fuck..killd it frm day one...fuck i wish i was my age now back then..wheres that fuckn time machine hhahaha..the gyys r old now..conquered the world..there legacy has been set...grown men with familys richer thn all the other metal kings...the show will continue on,but at this point it all has been done... :)
Wdsta1
Kids today will never understand how raw and heavy Metallica was in the 80’s. They were the ultimate Fuck You to pop metal.
All these years i said to my self "Thank God someone recorded this"..
See this fucking and amazing vocals !!!!!!
Cliff's baking vocals... amazing!!! RIP :(
Best band in history... ever!
And it would become one of the greatest songs ever
God... what has happened to music? Just listening/watching this gives me chills. The real audio, no scrubbing, no lip syncing, no need for over-the-top lighting, just the band and their fans jamming.
It started with crap like KISS ( more show that music) and then came the twisted version of R&B with Salt and Peppa and Backdoor Boys, and then Hip Hop happened. Kids these days are stupid.
Shit man, I wish I existed in '85 just to see this concert, even just to see James scream: "ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS TONIGHT?!?!"!! It just saddens me sooo much that I will never be able to experince this era where when all of the best rock bands were emerging to fame :(. Honestly, I would've saved every single amount of cash just to go on the best concerts and just get FUCKING NUTS!!
The most powerful lineup/era of this band. Incredible
5:04 can we just take a moment to appreciate Cliff's absolutely badass backing vocals? Oh, and 6:24 too!
This Is so focking awesome time with metallica.James has the best voice ever when he was this young.I wish i was In my early twenty's when they where playing like this.Best band in the world.
BEST Disposable Heroes
This is the most fuckkkin underrated not just Metallica song but all over the metal genre song that has ever been … and this gig is so fuckkkin raw god
And cliff still Alive fukkk
>"ARE WE FUCKING NUTS TONIGHT"
>Cliff
>Headbanging
>One of my favourite Metallica songs
this video is perfect in every way
Wow! Best version ever of that song. That's spirit of the genre. Their current interpretations feels too much comfortable.
1 of my favorite all time classic Metallica live videos. FREAKING AWESOME!
God Bless The Person Who Uploaded This Epic Performance!
I like how this the only live i've seen lars playing in double bass fast in the end at 8:28
Check out their set in Japan December 86 he nails the double time in battery 🤘🏻 that entire set is one of the best of theirs in my opinion, just sucks cliff wasnt there
