The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title. This year, at the US Open, we’re set for another historic tournament as the world’s best tennis players head to New York. Nonsense. His Slam harvesting and stat padding in his late 30s against the weakest competition won’t earn him respect, quite the contrary. He was only able to win 7 Slams in 2005-2014 when Nadal and Federer were in their prime.
He’s always been the third wheel of his generation and that’s how it will stay. He’s clearly behind Federer and Nadal and also Laver, Rosewall and Sampras too.

I personally like the top Novak is wearing. It’s light blue and white combination. It goes even better with blue shorts. It’s better than the dark blue he wore in first round.

Never in my life have I been more certain of a player making a GS final than Novak right now. Lots of seeds on his side have lost already but you know for a fact he won’t falter at all. Alcaraz will probably have to face Sinner + Medvedev, and though he’s favourite in both they’re likely to be fairly close matches. Novak could coast through his draw with a lot in the tank come final time. The opposite of 2021. I think he’ll win it.
One bad omen for djokovic is the onset of el nino weather phase that has visibly increased temperatures worldwide and will continue to do so for a year at least. Affecting both US open and Aus open.
He is vulnerable to heat and humidity and more so due to age. It will be extremely difficult to get past Alcaraz here.

Seems like after the Wimbledon defeat Djokovic has raised his level back up to the 2014-16 level where he wasn’t just winning trophies but destroying opponents. Granted his opponents in the first two rounds were never gonna trouble him but Djokovic is someone who’s more capable to lose concentration and drop a set. He looked so dialled in right now, almost like he has something to prove.
Unless there’s some remarkable accidents, I don’t see anyone stopping a Djokovic-Alcaraz final… esp with Medvedev is on Alcaraz’s half.
