The banning system in TruckersMP is bloody broken, as well as some of admins.
I got banned for 7 days because I overtook a guy with double trailer, I didn't ram nor block anyone and he sadly got it on camera so I got reported and banned like 4 days after.
Very very sad, I hope I'll get back to the game asap :P

Not sure about other countries, but in Victoria Australia, we are not allowed to overtake if there is any vehicle in the opposite lane ahead of you, no matter how far that vehicle is. If you see cars, then no overtake (the vehicle in this video is very close when the overtake was done). Additionally, the overtake was done before a turn where visibility of the oncoming traffic is low, which indicates no forethought.
Idk man. It was illegal to overtake on that part (look at the continuous line) and even though its a game, its a Sim and stuff like this makes sense. Its forbidden to overtake there cause its cleary dangerous: You cant oversee the entire road because of the hill, the slight turn and the fences. He probably was playing on the Simulation Server so breaking traffic rules like this justify a kick imo. This time it went well and nothing happened but that doesnt mean its always like that. There is a reason its forbidden to overtake there
I personally would not class that as clean. Oncoming truck, and pulling back in not leaving much room. Take into account the desync/lag between each user as well.

The road was long, the lines were broken, there was nothing wrong. These admins are on a power trip pure and simple. Especially when something like 7:30 occurs and nothing is done about it
Ah yes the ETS2MP mod. The place where you can have fun but only within limitations and only when the 5 year old admin behind you allows you to. I gave up playing this a while back when I was kicked for performing a completely legal manoeuvre. Don't get me wrong, there are some people who take the piss and cause huge problems, but overtaking a slow moving truck on a straight road with nothing coming, is not punishable by a stint in Guantanamo Bay, though the admins would have you believe otherwise.
at this point i consider applying for an admin just to park near busy roads and kick the people that cant drive to save their lives

Part of why I stopped playing TMP is because you can be banned for stupid reasons (other players will threaten you often) and because the population of toxic players never changed. It got to a point in which I stopped reporting people. The mods and adms never implemented better measures to encourage better player behavior. Reporting people should also be simpler; it shouldn't require so much effort to do so. If they have the telemetry of vehicles in the game, then why record a video a go through all that complicated process? If they want to significantly improve TMP, they need to set up a team to rethink the whole service.
at this point i just say "rec ban" to scare people, i never even record anymore
they make it that complicated to keep the workload of the reporting system lower. That is also the reason why your videos get too old after 14 days rather than after a month like before
SCS should implement their own proper multiplayer and we all should forget about tmp

@@srrk2508 there's no need for 24/7 moderation. They could implement a system that would do live record of often reported person so they could watch the replay at any desired time and then ban a person

The banning on this game is totally stupid, one day I got banned for 2 weeks because I had to overtake a truck cuz I couldn't brake in time and everyone did that
And the worst is that I got the ban one week after the incident (it was during new year)

That was sketchy place to begin overtaking so ban was kinda justified. But bruh that 2:10 permaban was a overkill! Mods in ETS2 just gun down everybody with random bans but when some kids are blocking entire speedway’s or running several times through traffic jam and every truck is flying like a confetti - nothing happens, no action…

There are few reasons of permanent ban: Using speedhack/NCZ hack or inappropriate tag/interior plates/license plates - in the last case the ban is active until the user appeals it with the proof of the change in either the ban appeal system, or in feedback system, if the ban was appealed too many times.
EDIT(16.05.2022): due to recent rule changes, there are no permanent bans due to history anymore, however they can be still given due to rule §2.9

About that permaban: It does not matter if he deserved just a week or a few days, If he has 3 active bans, the 4th one is a permaban

Multiplayer: gets involved in every single traffic accident knowing you can do /fix

I went to the left lane just to overtake the man, then the man I was overtaking stepped on the gas and blocked me, so I escaped without hitting the oncoming person, but because the person next to me hit me, I was banned indefinitely. TruckersMP has a weird ban system

Ah, the TMP mods. Once got a 2 week ban for typing "idiot" in chat after getting rammed on purpose 3 times, i just got insta-banned. When i tried to appeal the ban it was suddenly my username that was the problem. His profile showed he had recently been made admin and he himself had been banned 3 times in the past
Got banned for the same thing only I was on mic. Yet there are kids shouting fuck you and playing music that never get banned.

you really got banned for something that i used to do regularly. I still remember the times when me and my friends used to race down the highway through the whole of europe at 200 kmh just passing everyone in the worst ways possible. Calais was just us trying to ignore as many traffic laws as possible to try and get to the uk. Also with the trucks at 160 kmh was really funny but the skoda was better
