    That tape is not going to last,use (Gorrila Tape), it's stronger to hold firm or (O-Rings) to stop the wheel wobble, some hobby shops have them,cool mods to help, and it's very useful.

    I have the stingray with a 540 vxl3. It’s not the bearings. It’s tsm if u have it. Has to be off or very low.

    Nice mod i will have to check that on my speed car it has some crazy steering sometimes

  • @oldschoolbluesplayer5319

    One would think if you removed the grey plastic rotors and replaced with metal hubs that would help.

      TSM causes the wobble as I have it. Has to be super low or off.

    Where are you getting your aftermarket parts?

    I just picked up this New 4tec Stingray looking for any tips. Great Video thanks. I looked on Traxxas website for Aluminum parts and couldn't find any. What brand aluminum parts did you add? Thanks.

      Many are GPM.

    • @Sellingthemall
      @Sellingthemall Před 2 lety

      Just asked this. Found the gpm website. Some can be used on the factory 5 cars, some can't. The factory 5's seem to have their own lower control arms, a slightly longer battery retainer as well. The wheelbase is maybe 2mm longer than the stingray. So, if anyone has it, check traxxas part finder first to see if its the same part.

      @Sellingthemall Před 2 lety +1

      So far, the factory 5 cars use different upper shock mounts, lower control arms, body mounts, battery retainer, So, on mine, those will have to stay traxxis stock until someone does aftermarket parts for it.

    • @GoKaioken
      @GoKaioken  Před 2 lety

      Unfortunately you have to do some tests. You want to gear so you are at top speed about 30 ft from the finish line. I’m not sure what gearing to start with.

    What about your driveshaft on 70% throttle. Are you getting any vibrations?

    • @GoKaioken

      Not that I am aware of - seems good at 100mph! 👀

      @@GoKaioken I’m having some weird vibrations between 40-80% throttle. Brand new center driveshaft. With some shimmy’s to keep it tight. Still getting vibrations :// maybe it’s the bearings?

    • @GoKaioken
      @GoKaioken  Před 2 lety +1

      It’s definitely worth changing them out to see if it fixes the issue.
