- Welcome back to the thrilling continuation of our wild camping adventure on the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. In this second part, we'll be pushing further into the heart of this legendary trail, journeying from the picturesque Grisedale Tarn to the majestic Nine Standards Rigg.
Our expedition takes an exhilarating turn as we conquer the highest point of the entire trail, Kidsty Pike. Standing atop this magnificent peak, we'll be rewarded with awe-inspiring panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see (if it was clearer!). As we say good bye (and good riddance!) to the lake district the weather takes a dramatic shift, with cold winds, rain, and swirling mist, our resilience and determination are put to the test.
Camping near the tranquil shores of Haweswater, we'll find solace amidst the rugged beauty of the surroundings. As we continue our trek, we'll cross the M6 and venture into the second national park of our journey, the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales. Here, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills, and charming villages await us at every turn.
Join me as we navigate the unpredictable weather, push our limits, and embrace the raw beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. Together, we'll uncover the hidden gems and remarkable sights that make the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to subscribe to stay tuned for the next thrilling instalment of our wild camping adventure. Let's embark on this extraordinary journey together!

I know all about the intermittent limp!! When I did the coast 2 coast last Sept, even with huge blisters, I had very few issues walking with my boots on - however, in the evening or morning, when I had my flip flops on, i could hardly walk.. Enjoying reliving the walk.
I managed to avoid blisters, somehow! But as soon as I stopped it took quite some time to get my legs back walking again! Glad you're enjoying reliving it.
Great video. Some fab scenery and drone shots. It is making me recall the pain for a long distance hike though and whether I really want to work that hard again 😅
Haha it's worth it in the end! And I am one of these old fashioned style carry everything you need, and a bit more just in case! Just avoid the few places where it has options for high routes and it's not so hard!
Good effort still, you can tell you're getting tired. Looking forward to seeing the next part.
Yeah, tiredness is pretty much the theme from here on! Cheers mate 😊
A tough stretch on this one then - A case of one foot in front of the other as well as a few stops. Just so long as you keep moving. Looked bright latterly. Good going. Mark
It was hard going, the weight of the bags were hard with all the climbing that the lakes had to offer. Cheers mark :)
@@ramblebob1 Yeah, I can imagine Chris. I was just recently out doing some big hills with a sack on my back. A pleasure.
“Kirstys pike whatever” show more respect to your environment. Well done buddy your more of a man then I
Not easy to remember the names when you're that shattered!
