Why would you want to load the IIC+ plugin on Quad Cortex, when Quad Cortex already has IIC+ amp models built in it. I just don't get it why so many people yelling for the ability to load a computer vst plugin on Quad Cortex since Quad Cortex already has the specific amp models in it. Why? Why not just use these amp models?

There are EVH amps and PV 5150 amps in it, there and you can put a tube screamer or whatever pedal in front of it but it’s in the quad cortex. So I don’t understand you want it in a plug-in because neural captured them the quad cortex and it’s better than a plug in.

Forgetting old products is something to be very concerned about as a newly converted digital player. I am demoing Nameless and Cali and they honestly sound tits, but if they are willing to pump out all these Archetype models in such quick succession while ignoring customers who dropped almost 2 grand on a piece of gear that basically functions at 50% of its capabilities, this forces me to look elsewhere.
Most Neural "product" owners will rejoice and tell all their friends that Plague really apologized. Hell, they were dumb enough to buy the Cortex so you know they're dumb enough to fall for this........ That being said. Excellent video.

I got sick of being a beta tester!! I grabbed another powered kemper rack, leaving in the studio and my powered toaster for outside the studio use. I never liked the QC from day one, even the touch screen never worked perfectly, quite often I would need to press same thing twice or more…. Just tedious and I know 1st world problems but frustrating nonetheless. Looking forward to more content mate. Hope things are getting better for you every day 🤘🏻

Hahaha. Way late on this, amazing. For the tone Ndsp is allright. But they really gotta do something about a new Archetype most of us aren't interested in every three months. NDSP is stagnant, using an out-of-date licensing model. i'll look elsewhere and at smaller companies for interesting stuff these days. Once every plugin dev gets over their obsession with the 5150, we might be able to get somewhere. Like maybe the 5150 III! Lol still want that Fuzz plugin with like ten solid fuzz emus in it. I’d love to see if better results would be possible just by using the Mesa Boogie Throttle Box EQ as a preamp into the FX return of an amp or straight into your interface with an IR. Even if it isn’t an exact match, you probably won’t run into nearly as many issues.

I do have to say that I enjoy these plugins for what they are worth, and they have offered fun tones to play and jam with. But at this point it's just exponential marketing...But I hear if you buy 4 Mark IIC+ plugins, you get a Mark 8C+/- which is like...Petrucci and Rebea and Plini combined! It too, also comes with a digital delay and reverb...and an OD.... All piss aside, I have to contend that Rebea is FAR MORE interesting and FAR MORE straight forward than Beard and Dines. He also tends to make far more interesting music, and less maligned derivative glop in comparison. He also tends to spread his sound scape over much more tonal range and such...but, to be fair, everyone on here is a marketing shill and Rebea flat out left Chapman to pedal Neural DSP lately. I don't blame him, the way things are...you have to get what you can get when you can get it, right? Otherwise we'd be sacrificing just about anything popular to the gods of virtue. And really...at this point, shouldn't we all be taking a page from Jim Lill's book and realizing that cab IRs are the main thing that will shape your tone? Everything else just seems to be gain stages and EQ so...without the proper cab IRs, nothing will sound right, and you'll spend days just trying to dial something proper in. But..I'm not a sound engineer, so I guess I'm talkin out of turn. Either way... the OTTO 1111 is pretty damn fun for the price, but I wish all these companies would stop chopping everything up and selling it for premium prices, when it simply is just modular samey same same... I have to admit though, I kinda hate the NTS. I bought it because it sounded mean...when I got it, it just sounds like an annoyance. My personal go to at this point is Nolly's for distortion. It's just a smoother package that seems to work nice. Anyway...there isn't any answer to any of this. We all GAS, we all love new toys, and trying new things isn't a bad thing if you can afford it..that's the point of life. I guess I'm not as soaked with greed as some are?
