- Found a old split gas system not working due to blower motor issues. I thought a lot more was wrong but I was mistaken

I own an hvac company with 5 techs and I wish they were all as dedicated as you. I have a 16 year man who still makes mistakes everyday and doesn't feel bad about it so it's good to see someone trying to become a top mechanic.
Thanks man, I try my hardest to learn more and absorb as much as I can.
Way to do an honest assessment of yourself. Keep up the great work and content.
Your videos are gold for someone like me trying to understand all the aspects of these systems! Thanks for taking the time to record your service calls... you keep making these videos, I'll keep watching and learning.
Then we'll learn together 🙏🏽🔥✊🏽
@@AB_HVAC Right on!
Tunnel vision can humble even the best techs. Keep up the great work man we are all human and the systems are not all the same. Sequence of operation and not tunnel vision is the key.
I appreciate that 👌🏾 thanks for the support
That’s one thing that drove me crazy when I was making videos everyone wants to talk shit about what you did wrong instead of giving some advice. No one knows everything and we all just doing the best we can and learning everyday.
FACTS. Say it louder for the haters in the back
Welcome to the Internet 🤣
Also true. Can't expect everything to be positive, I get that
if you know you did right by fixing it that's all that matters don't worry about what others will say keep on going!!
This dude is so chill I hope the best for him ❤
Great video, brother.. love the realness of your videos. We all have ups and downs.. that's how we learn to be better and stronger . Keep on pushing out the awesome content 🤟💯🌎
Appreciate it man. Your words mean a lot!
You're doing fine. As you gain experience your diagnostics will improve.
Thanks man!
If any if the fans are humming or barely spinning, 1st check the capacitor if it has one, 2nd touch the back part of the motor if its hot then you know that the motor is bad only if the capacitor is good. This also applies to the condenser fan motor, just put your hand on the top portion where the motor is mounted you can feel the heat difference sounds weird but it works. Also just because a pump looks dirty there's no reason to replace unless it failed. Also rust and cosmetics on the outside or inside unit is no real area of concern. The pitting and arching of the contactor is an area of concern and always check the ohms of the contactor it should range from 10-20 anything in-between those numbers is good. Just a few tips to help you out.
I mean I checked the capacitor, the motor is getting power, and I'm not recommending replacing the pump based on looks but more son on its speed of pumping the water out. It definitely takes a good while for the pump get the water out but with the system being from 1994 I just feel it's better for them to understand where they sit with this system. It's 30yrs old, don't expect it to be clean and peachy with no immediate issues. Idk how long the home was sitting before they acquired it.
each time you do a call you should stick to a regular sequence of checking and always start with basics. good job austin.
That's something I definitely don't stick to (not without trying). I used to start by verifying low voltage on everything, starting at basic sequence of operations. But every year around summer time all that goes out the window and I just get like a chicken with my head cut off 😅
You are doing a great job King. I make mistakes. We all do in this industry. Especially around this time. I feel you 100 percent
Appreciate that unc!
Good job. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
Gotta be able to reflect on my own short comings right
@@AB_HVAC yes, learn from them, although the ones you mentioned are very minor in the grand scheme.
Also, feel very proud of all the diagnosis that you nail on a daily basis
I appreciate you Chief. Keep up the great work
I appreciate that
I think ur an excellent troubleshooter. U just go over it verbally, which makes u an excellent videotagraper, instead of in ur head.
I do feel weird talking to a camera sometimes 🤣 I have to remember yall will be there
Stating what’s wrong is the advice
You are an excellent teacher. You got this champion
Love your videos man keep it up!!
Appreciate the support man, greatly!!!
The water could also be from the blower stopping and coil freezing up.
Not gonna lie, that makes way more sense than what I thought
Really good vedio, I'm learning a lot
I try to learn something new every day
that blower wheel is disgusting, wouldn’t be surprised if that dirty blower wheel was the main cause of the blower motor going bad
I'll make sure to clean that too when I replace it
👍🤙🤘
👌🏾👍🏾✊🏽👏🏾🤘🏽🤟🏾🤌🏾
What happened to your tag a long ( vape boy ) , his girlfriend keeps him on the phone to long and last his job ???
