  • The United States Marine Corps Boot Camp, otherwise known as "Recruit Training" is a program of initial training that each recruit must successfully complete to join the United States Marine Corps.
Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
The video includes recruits going through basic training: combat water survival, gas chamber, pugil stick fights, qualification with rifle, confidence course, rappel tower, and scenes in the barracks.

Wow, this is messing with my mind. I graduated from 2nd Battalion Hotel Company Follow Series platoon 2006 in December 2003. I can't be sure but that looks like my old squad bay at the beginning of the video. I can't believe that was almost 13 years ago and I remember it all so vividly. I will say that a lot of it is pretty intense and miserable when you are there but down the road you will miss it as crazy as that may seem.

Things have trained so much on how to train soldiers. Years ago you were bullied and beaten down if you had a weakness it was exploited by all. Now recruites are still disciplined but it is the goup that is disciplined rather than an individual being humiliated for the sake of being humiliated there is a lot less brutalily on behalf of the Drill instructors. You are encouraged and motivated now which is good. E

Not very hard to get as long as you pass the asvab, I'm doing infantry with a 66 on the asvab I don't leave tell September but I suggest to you try to get a high score so you can try to get into force recon which is basically more advanced infantry and a lot more badass.
