I was able to pick this up at HD online a few months ago for $129. After my military discount only $116. I couldn’t pass it up. Great tool. One of my favorites. I have the mid and high torque wrenches also. I have to disagree with one thing. If you don’t have a lot of need for impact wrenches but you do change your own brakes, or rotate your own tires….this is all you need. It will take your lug nuts off without any problem and the design is great for getting to those caliper bolts. If you are not a professional mechanic working on a lot of different things then this is probably the only impact you will ever need. If you get into bigger vehicles and suspension work, then you may need to go bigger, but for you change-your-own-brakes guys and occasional other lighter job guys, this may be all you need.
Looks like a pretty sweet tool. Ridgid has come out with a ton of new products the last 12 months or so. After using their stuff professionally for years I've only had to use my warranty only once. It was just a charger. Thanks for the video review. Great job. I like the clear precise and fairness shown on this channel. Keep it up!
This subcompact line is awesome. Their 6 1/2 subcompact saw was the most popular saw on a framing project that we completed. Looking forward to a sale on this tool!
What a beast.
I’d gladly add one of these to the toolbox. Great review 👍👍
Yes!.. LET'S GO BROTHER 🏁
11:25.. exactly..hammering then stopping
🎉Thank you so much‼️
Nice testing demo!
Not only is Ridgid been my favorite tools but they are the same color an my Bengals WHODEY!
Sucker is a beast!!! I'm sure with the new EXP battery's it will hit a bit harder. TX for the video
Great job as usual, thanks for sharing. This has slightly better specs than TTI's Milwaukee right angle impact wrench. 👍
Wow, very impressive! 2yrs too late for me but I think I may eventually sell my M12, once this comes into a hackable promo or gets to DTO.
thank you for testing this! i ordered it and it just got delivered today. i was hoping it would be good and i dont think ill be disappointed!
I have almost every Rigid impact wrench. Just bought this today….HD has it on sale for $129 and with my military discount I got it fot $116 plus tax. Was a no brainer. The reason I wanted it was because I did a brake job a few weeks ago and could not get the caliper off that easily. Not a lot of room for a long breaker bar either. Got my mid torque out and it would not line up behind the bracket. Wished I had this that night. I’m sure I’m gonna love it. I use my mid torque often. Have the high torque and love that too…but in reality….its a status symbol that doesn’t really get used. But I do love it.
Did you get it at the store or online?
@@mike_t_007 online but that sale was a couple months ago.
And only the half inch drive was on sale.
@exceldrivr That's the one I want too. Look forward to them coming back in stock
@@exceldrivryes indeed I got the brushless high torque half inch impact wrench with two 4amp batteries and charger and soft case for 200 online only i definitely couldn’t pass that up 😁
I ordered mine today and this video pops up and I couldn't be more excited. I was buying the subcompact and bought this instead, and I'm thinking I'm going to be more than happy with it.
How do you like it? Have you had a chance to use it yet?
Thank you so much for this video متشکرم از شما آقای محترم
If Rigid has this in 18v. Come on Milwaukee get her done.
I'm a super market refrigeration tech and in the market for a right angle impact, 250ftlbs is more than enough for 99% of my work (it will mostly be used for filter dryers and oil separators and compressor changes) I just saw this in 3/8" (mostly smaller fasteners for my job) on black friday deal for $129, might have to pick it up.
That 21 will knock off lug nutts like it was a trycycle--I have it.
Nice tool
I think the protective head cover is to protect some materials you are working on not the wrench.
This tool with 250 ft. Lbs seems to be for automotive purposes, the boot will be to protect the tool from scratching, dings and falls.
I'd call that pretty useful. I think most of the nuts we're gonna need to break loose are going to be 21mm or under.
Kobalt 24v right angle owner. Love the tool, but Rigid has just dethroned the champ. Glad the segement has competiton now!
Thanks for the great video! Did you test to see how much torque it was stopping at when the auto mode stops the wrench in forward?
Just love ridgid keeping the same 18v batteries and not changing to like 12v
Okay Brother. I may left a comment or 3 already on this video, but in my defense it's been 7months or so.🤓
I'm very impressed by this tool. I'm on both Milwaukee battery platforms and a couple others, but not RIDGID...at least not yet. Given these tools and few others, that could well change this year.
I'm huge fan of Milwaukee M12 2.5Ah ho batteries, however I can see a lot of areas that the new 6Ah M12 batteries fit as well.
This platform from RIDGID offers a different reach, putting the bigger battery just far enough away to make it work where, because Milwaukee doesn't or at least hasn't seen fit to produce the right angle impact in an M18 FUEL version that might afford me one more teardown or one assembly at/or near the end of a shift, especially if you're talking about the 6Ah forge battery....
I guess we'll see what the future holds, but by that time I'll likely have RIDGID in the arsenal.
Got mine 2 weeks ago use it with the 3 amp OCTANE BATTERY but will test it with the 8 amp EXP battery soon it has more go juice then the KOBALT just wish they had a 4 amp 21700 cell battery the 8amp is just too big
Home Depot has 2 rigid 4A batteries and charger on sale right now for spring black Friday for $79.00 ends Sunday I think
may be an odd question but was that a cordless drill torque wrench you used to tighten the bolts down to test?
So this is better than the Milwaukee right angle?
You should have went right to left for your torque. It ensures the nut is tight and not loosened from the reaction arm. I have had this happen to me in the past
Why does the led flash sometimes?
So am looking for a tool to remove lower brake calipers.
Will this one do it? Where space is limited.
If not, recommendations?
Absolutely will work.
With the battery it's just to heavy
That's awesome. But I don't want another battery platform. Does DeWalt or Milwaukee have something similar?
Yes...Millwaukee has a right angle impact wrench..12v I believe
@@boosted2.4_sky I just checked on them. They don't seem to be the beast this tool is
Kobalt has a very similar one.
@acwright the Milwaukee isn't.. the Kobalt is strong.. but it also costs more as a kit... I'm in the Ridgid platform so this is great for me.
@@acwrightthe Milwaukee is also a 12v tool where the ridged is an 18v . I have the 12v and it’s awesome I can’t imagine how much better it would be if it was 18v
Does any one know how this bad boy compare to a m12 stubby? My stubby was stolen, Im planning on buying a replacement but if this ridgid matches the breakaway torque I'll go with this
It matches and may have more torque. Did you ever get it?
Hola Tim!!
anyone use this tool with a 4amp battery? i tried to remove 21mm lug nuts off my car and it wouldn't remove them.
wow i am impress with ridgid.
Jumping up from 50lb increments, when it starts to get tough, to 100lbs is just ridiculous. DROP to 25lbs or at least.. maintain 50lbs throughout. I'm LOST on how you jump to 300 when it's rated at 250.
It’s called an experiment. Can it do it. Sheesh.
Ok but what’s it’s torque up tightening to??
If only ridgid had smaller batteries
It’s better than the Milwaukee
Good tool but its not very powerful, I own one and for brake bolts it has a hard time.
Thanks for the info. I won’t be buying one then.
The flat surface below the anvil looks like a good hammering spot to me. 😂
Инструмент бомба. Друже пзц ты громкий!!!
So whats the point of the ratchet tool wrench if this is aavailable
It's an impact wrench not a ratchet. Made to fit in tiny spaces
Test the Milwaukee right angle
We did! 2 years ago. czcams.com/video/DDxJlTEnWxg/video.html
Thanks I check it out
Better than kobalt ?
based on this test yes. torque test channel got 252ft lbs out of the kobalt
After watching the video I went next day bought 3/8 RIDGID. Tried lug nuts I can’t even break them loose . Returning tomorrow. Not sure how this video shows so much torque but when I tried to loose lug nuts I’m disappointed. Yes battery was fully charged. May be I got a bad one I guess
I have one coming in 2mrw. I wanted it for lugnuts i hope I'm not so disappointed.
This impact isn't really designed to remove lugnuts
Should have bought the 1/2”
@@speedymkilla001 not designed for lugnuts.
Update . I got 1/2’ came with 6 and 4 amp batteries. 177$ Christmas sale . Way much better than 3/8 . I also have Milwaukee 3/8 but makes 35ft/lb . So I got this one .
That looks a lot like the Kobalt one.
They look a little alike but the head is quite different. Thanks for watching.
Might be ok for brakes and struts but worthless for most anything else.
why shout though? Im sure you have a nice voice. Use that instead.

wish you wouldve ran it in scenarios where you would want to actually use a right angled impact wrench..
