    Awesome video! My point A is that I’m not consistent enough as a creator. I fall into analysis paralysis. I’m afraid to make a clear and committed plan because of how much I’ve failed at following through with plans. I believe in my unique gifts (singing/songwriting/music) and want to share them openly and consistently. My point B is consistency i think

      Glad you liked it! Thanks for taking the time to comment -- completely resonate with what you shared and in case you weren't aware, know you're in good company! I've been there and I rarely have a client who *doesn't* struggle with this. Fact is, sharing something we care about so deeply is a scary and vulnerable experience, so our minds are always going to look for ways to keep us "safe" by sabotaging our attempts at progress.
      The first thing I've found helpful is really taking the time to analyze those past attempts where you "fell of the wagon" with you plans and in a judgement-free way, look at what contributed to you not following through. Were you trying to force yourself to do things in a way that didn't feel good? Was what you were trying to do unrealistic? Did you treat this work as if it was a lower priority to other things (or people) in your life and abandon it any time something else came up? Were you even super clear on exactly what the plan *was*? Did you have a vision/goal/North Star that was big enough to help override the fear?
      Once you've found some clues as to what was going on back then, it gives you a jumping off point for creating a new version of the plan that starts to plug the holes. And something else I've had to do previously is understand that re-building self-trust is a process that needs to be done in stages. So if trying to commit to some long-term plan feels a lot right now, could you start by creating a plan for the next _week_ and doing everything in your power to follow-through? (Then maybe rinse & repeat for another week before increasing it to a 2 week plan, etc etc) Because once you've proven to your mind that you *can* follow-through, some of those negative voices start to lose their power.
      Hope this helps in some way! Cheering you on and know that you can do this -- so don't give up on yourself. You know you're here to share your gifts with the world so every day you're not doing that is a waste of what you've been given!

      @@KatElizabeth absolutely floored by this thoughtful response, I’m so humbled and grateful that you took the time!! Well I’ve been working off of a weekly planner, but at times I’ve definitely been unclear and/or unreasonable with my expectations. The part about re-building self-trust gradually, that really resonated with me. It seems as though unreasonable goals/workloads (and subsequent failure to uphold them) led me to lose clarity when setting future goals. If I detached and left it more vague, the failure wouldn’t feel as acute. I’ve got much more to work off of now, thank you so much!

      @@thesteviejo it's my pleasure -- glad I was able to help in some way! I've 100% been there so understand the struggle deeply. And honestly, "goal setting" can be problematic in so many ways as it can create a lot of unhealthy pressure. My rule these days is putting that really big stuff in the "vision" category (and holding it loosely) and making sure my goals are only ever things I can control aka output related (i.e. what daily/weekly actions can I take that I believe will take me in the direction of that vision) knowing that results are a byproduct of that anyway :)

    Where are you at right now and what's the point B you're aiming for? Drop me a comment and let me know if you'd like any tips to help you get there!

    Point A, in the trenches working for deposit for land, buy end of this year 2024. Point B, creating reliable, honest, educated horses. Then matching horse and owner to live a joyful shared life. Offereing follow up support as an option. The horse world is or can be a minefield of dishonesty. Aiming to change this through actions and transparency.
    Whether I do this along side a job or fulltime as a se trader, either way I'll be doing this.
    For now in the trenches as I do need the land and space to continue forward.
    Thanks for your videos. Will be checking out others you have. Grateful I found you today.

      Thanks for taking the time to share - glad you found me also! Love the sound of your vision and my follow-up question for you is whether you can think of anything you can be doing *now* (that doesn't require land/space) that would allow you to start chipping away at this goal in other ways. For instance, establishing your authority and growing your visibility by choosing a platform to share your passion & expertise about horses (and everything related), and even providing valuable education to your potential future clients about what they need to know so you already have a running start when you achieve your goal of securing the land :) Thanks again and look forward to following your journey!

      Hey Kat - good to see you! :) Ah, ok -- makes sense. So I'll also start with a coaching question:
      Have you been able to identify *why* you're not getting the leads you want? (What point in the process do you think is causing the biggest problem - i.e. reaching people to begin with, getting them to respond at all, converting them after you've had some back and forth?)
      I ask this because before we switch tactics, it's important to understand what was stopping the other tactic from working so we know if it really is a tactic problem or if it's actually more of an execution problem (HOW it's being approached) which is usually a combination of strategy & skills. Hope that makes sense!

    I know I have interesting and fun content, point B is, How to speak up {because I have a soft voice} and how Not to get mental blanks when I am speaking?

    • @KatElizabeth
      @KatElizabeth  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi Andrea -- thanks for commenting! :) Ooh ok, so I'll first start with some coaching questions to help create some clarity around what to focus on:
      1) Where do you feel like speaking up is causing you challenges? (Is it just in specific contexts/mediums i.e. on camera?) And is this something that's motivated purely by how you want to be able to show up, or was it external feedback that brought your attention to this?
      2) Similar to the previous question - have you spotted any patterns with the mental blanks? (And on the flop side, have there been any times this *wasn't* a challenge?)
      Look forward to hearing from you!

    Random question, so I started a CZcams channel and podcast, but stopped uploading on those platforms for various reasons a few years ago. My question is, is it possible to re-skin an old channel/podcast, or do I need to just build from the ground up with a whole new channel/podcast?
    I know it sounds really stupid, but I have been debating this for a few months now and could use some feedback/advice. Thanks 🙂.

    • @KatElizabeth
      @KatElizabeth  Před 4 měsíci

      Not a random question! :) Definitely possible -- it's just a matter of figuring out if it's going to help you by doing that vs doing it from scratch. Questions to ask: Am I trying to reach the same people? If I already have an audience there, would they be interested in what I'm bringing out with the new version? Does the CZcams algorithm know my channel for one thing that's going to be quite different from the new thing? (And ultimately - what do I worry is the worst thing that could happen by starting from scratch? Then ask the same question about re-skinning!)
