Even if we took everything he said at face value it means nothing. The problem is not necessarily the company Huawei. The problem stems from the CCP. Huawei is just a casualty in this matter.
It is also worth pointing out that they are downplaying the importance of 5G. 5G is going to revolutionize economies and the way we live our lives just like 4g LTE did and just like broadband internet access did. Truth of the matter is that Huawei is directly tied to the Chinese government. Doesn't matter if their CEO is a good person because at the end of the day they're just another tool being used by the Chinese.

You think the CEO of Huawei makes his own decisions with his experience from the PLA to run a multi billion tech company? Afford billions of cash injection for his company? And brought his company to almost no 1 in a few years?
The communist doctrine today is to dominate the world by not firing one shot. It is through information and economic war. They have been fed to the brim for 25 years with information and trade.
