    Thank you! This combined with other two videos on CZcams actually helped me with a. Ordering the right part, and b. replace my door seal. However my washing machine front didn’t come off so it was 10x difficult when I actually did the job.

    Hi and let me first say great vid simple, to the point and easy to follow so thanks for that.
    Now my question, I have an Aquarius+ WML720 which has ceased to work and just gives six clicks of the door lock when I press the start button, it stopped half way through a wash cycle and since then just gives six clicks of the door locking mech.
    Is this maybe a diagnostic six clicks indicating something else or do you think it is just the locking mech that is faulty?
    I have done a little research but like always there are dozens of so called experts and all giving conflicting advice.
    I hope you can point me in the right direction and thanks again for the vid.

    Just gave it a go after finding pools of water on the kitchen floor after each wash. I ordered my replacement from eBay for £16. It looked a little different, but it went on. Its a little bit difficult to get the seal on to the drum so have some small clamps close by. Other than that a great video that helps out.

    This is great. I’m trying to match what seal I need for my machine. Iv noticed a small leak the last couple of days. Iv checked the tray, the water feed valve. The pipe that feeds the drum and the pipe that goes to the pump. All seems ok, the leak is mainly at the front under the machine so I’m suspecting the door seal leaks. I saw the springs you mention when I was looking around in there. Looks simple to change. Can’t see any splits in the seal so could be a small pin hole somewhere?

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  Před 6 lety

      Hi MrStreetboy, check the filter first before checking underneath to establish if it is the door seal and if you're sure our link will direct you to our web page for parts. For all your washing machine spares, visit bit.ly/1vhk6Zt

    This was great, thank you very much. It took us a while, as we're not the best at this sort of thing and we did bang our heads against the wall at 08.12 when you said that on some machines it's not possible to remove the front panel. We thought we were doing something wrong at the beginning when we couldn't figure out how to remove it. But we are very grateful for this video and have bookmarked it for the next time.
    Now, if you could just tell me where the long metal bit from the top of the machine, that we found when we closed everything up, is supposed to go........................... d'oh!!!

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  Před 6 lety

      Hi Sara, glad the video helped, it does depend on the model whether the front comes off so you do need to work that out before you start, have you found where the missing piece goes yet? hopefully, you have retraced your steps to find out.

    • @sarachally2082
      @sarachally2082 Před 6 lety

      We've taken an executive decision to leave it out - it's not an essential part and I was frightening the cat with my swearing. Done a few washes now and no more mouldy smell, your video was a godsend.

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  Před 6 lety

      Hi Sara, we understand that logic so as long as you are happy the machine is safe then well done on the repair.

    Hi, How do I buy the seal in the video? It matches the seal the I have taken out of my machine. I have now brought two seals that apparently fit the Hotpoint WDL520P Aquarius but sadly no luck, they also look different to the one in the video. (which I want)

    Will this work with all brands of washing machines?

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  Před 4 lety

      Hi Allen, the video is only for Hotpoint machines as fitting a door seal on another make may be similar but in most cases will not be the same, we do a few different videos on fitting door seals so have a look for your brand on our channel.

    Such a shame this can't be done on newer models such as WML/WMF/WMD and other Hotpoints past 2010.

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the comments but we had better explain them a little more.
      You can still change the seal on all the models you list, but cannot remove the front panel as shown in this video on many newer models.
