I recently picked up a Tuckernuck cardigan at 2nd Ave for $8 and just sold it on Poshmark for $80!!! I had never heard of the brand but it felt nice and the label looked fancy...score!!!
NICE! Yeah, Tuckernuck is definitely a pricey shop. I personally love their stuff, so DEFINITELY a brand to be keeping our eyes out for!

First time watching your videos and I enjoyed your thrift haul. Can you elaborate more on the color theory and skin tones? Thank you for sharing! 😊
Hmmm - so, there are people out there that are far, FAR (FAR...FAR...) more knowledgable about this that I am - I kinda know more what works for my specific skin tone (I'm cool skin tone - i.e. pink/blue undertones vs green/yellow - who's fair with dark skin, so I look best in dark, contrasty colors and jewel tones... and the occasional cool-toned pastel). but if you do a search for "color analysis" on youtube, there are TONS of actual sessions out there where the pros go into depth as to why this palette works better with this skin tone vs that palette, and how it affects the appearance of your skin... ditto to TikTok.
But the extremely basic gist of it is - if you have cooler skin, you look better in cooler (i.e. blue-based) colors and silver metallics, if you have warmer skin, you look better in warmer (i.e. yellow-based) colors and golden metallics. There's a TON more nuance to it, but that's a great place to start!
Correction **I'm fair with dark hair/features - not dark skin. 🤣🤣🤣 I couldn't tan if i tried!
Not sure if you make this kind of video, but you gave me an idea: what brands you'd pick up at thrift stores vs ones you would only get at the bins.

I didn't realize Athleta was owned by the company that owns OLD Navy. I now wonder if that's why lot if people like OLD Navys fitness wear.
Yep! Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic and Athleta are all under the same umbrella. While not awesome for resale, if you're shopping for yourself, Old Navy's athletic wear is TREMENDOUS bang for your buck if you're not really married to a specific fabric or fit from another company. My own legging collection is almost all lululemon (because i love two of the specific fabrics), and two pairs of Old Navy leggings that are EASILY 10 years old and have endured weekly wears and washes the whole time I've owned them... and they still feel like new!
Can confirm, I have a few pairs of old navy leggings that I’ve worn to death and easily washed 100+ times and they are still holding up perfectly.
I’m the same with not leaving special items behind. I just picked up these boots that were genuine leather with embroidery throughout and completely missing a heel and scuffed up. I got them and posted them with full disclosure. I only made $10 but I saved them!
It’s kind of our moral imperative! Save the craftsmanship!!

It's a small - isn't it STUNNING?! If that isn't your size, it's called the Isla dress (or just search Parker Starburst Beaded Dress - that's ultimately how i found the name).
Why don't you film at the bins?
Well, my most commonly visited bins location just put a ban on filming in the building, so there's that, but mostly, I'm just working up the courage to film in public, and figuring out a way to film in such a busy place without showing people's faces. I'll get there, though. I'm determined to figure out a way (and to muster up the courage) to do it!
