I'm from sheffield, less than an hours train ride away and used to like going over there for a drink in the old pubs and loved the old streets, factories and mills, up till about 15 years ago. What a fuckin weird city manchester's become. I'm from sheffield, less than an hours train ride away and used to like going over there for a drink in the old pubs and loved the old streets, factories and mills, up till about 15 years ago. Went back a few year ago and it's lost its soul with all the tall buildings and ripping out of the old town. Shame, every weirdo and queer from greater manchester and lancashire seems to have gravitated to it....very odd, sold out and just plain weird now. Thinks it's the london of the north but at what cost? Fuckin, cultural, moral and environmental dereliction.
