They disappeared a very long time ago, my uncle who was a bobbie who went to war in WW2 at a very young age like they all did. He was eventually captured by the Germans near the end of the war and obviously became a POW. after the war he joined the police force and a very good and professional one and was very liked by everyone in the job and with general public. He eventually became the local village bobbie in a small town in Suffolk and everyone gave him so much respect because he gave everyone he came across respect aswell. Nearing the end of his long career in the force he became very saddened at how the job was heading with the new young recruits even back then in the late 70s & 80s and how they behaved to the general public and couldn't wait to retire, also my dad who was a customs officer saw the same attitude of the new recruits in his job as was also happening in the police force, my dad unfortunately didn't get to retirement age as he passed away at 54yrs of age, so the rot had started back then and progressively got worse and worse.

Years ago, I used to work as a civilian security guard at a major MOD site working on the gate alongside MOD police. I always remember one day, me and a couple of colleagues were on the gate with a young female MOD police officer (early 20s), I can't remember the exact build up conversation now as it was years ago now, but I always remember her barking at us "you should always look up to me and respect me because I am a police officer". It was that day that I learnt how entitled a lot of police are.
Police dispair because there's a man with a camera they hate the camera so much. But you can film anything you can see from public land. What do they not get about cameras.
If that were to happen in the UK, then my question would be , if there's no wrongdoing, then why can't a civilian record in/on public land, if authoritie figures can then its a lawful conduct.

They disappeared a very long time ago, my uncle who was a bobbie who went to war in WW2 at a very young age like they all did. He was eventually captured by the Germans near the end of the war and obviously became a POW. after the war he joined the police force and a very good and professional one and was very liked by everyone in the job and with general public. He eventually became the local village bobbie in a small town in Suffolk and everyone gave him so much respect because he gave everyone he came across respect aswell. Nearing the end of his long career in the force he became very saddened at how the job was heading with the new young recruits even back then in the late 70s & 80s and how they behaved to the general public and couldn't wait to retire, also my dad who was a customs officer saw the same attitude of the new recruits in his job as was also happening in the police force, my dad unfortunately didn't get to retirement age as he passed away at 54yrs of age, so the rot had started back then and progressively got worse and worse.

Actually, the police (along with all emergency services) have exemption from that in the road traffic act, so they can leave the engine running legally

Years ago, I used to work as a civilian security guard at a major MOD site working on the gate alongside MOD police.
I always remember one day, me and a couple of colleagues were on the gate with a young female MOD police officer (early 20s), I can't remember the exact build up conversation now as it was years ago now, but I always remember her barking at us "you should always look up to me and respect me because I am a police officer".
It was that day that I learnt how entitled a lot of police are.
