- HOW TO Flex Seal and Homemade Squirrel Baffles using Flex Seal
I have been an avid reader of mostly Science Fiction and Fantasy based novels. I have decided to pursue my dreams of writing in the same genres. This will be one of many avenues I am looking at for on the road revenue.

Nice... I built my own from two thin sheets of galvanized steel overlapped a bit and bolted together, made a hole for the feeder post then installed a stop ( SS hose clamp holding a split PVC tube) under it at the right height and have a squirrel proof shield. Cheap, easy and reliable. No paint required.
Good idea, I had contemplated some kind of metal as well but had no pieces to cut and did have the old sled.
To Donna NC Andrews (For some reason I cannot reply directly to your comment. Yes, shortly, and it reminded me of an extra step regarding the weak part at the center after the hole has been drilled, will include that as well.
Finding Mark In Maine thank you for getting back to me. I know yt has it’s difficulties no problem and You have great ideas ❤️🙏🏼
@@donna_NC Thank you. I am not sure why I could not reply before, but CZcams is just now making available to me comments I had not replied to, some going back a few years.
Can you show underneath the sled and tell us how you attached to the pole please. Thank you I am desperate lol😤😜
I know this comment is from long ago, at the time for some reason CZcams would not let me respond then, but it is now. I used a hose clamp to keep the baffle at the height I needed, hope that helps.
SPRAY THE SQUIRRELS
That is one possibility, lol. However I like the video where someone put petroleum jelly on the pole and the squirrel just kept sliding back down, very amusing and entertaining.
I have the solution to the squirrels. 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup cornmeal, 1/2 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup sugar. Taste like chicken.
lol, my brother-in-law probably knows that recipe already, but tx.
Where is the video for homemade squirrel baffles?
Julie J at the moment I’m on vacation I can’t access the videos I can come and only however I’m not sure I made an actual video for making the squirrel baffle if I did I will try to find it for you.
Why do you need to paint it?
It was fluorescent green, not my favorite color by any means, thanks for the comment.
...Flex Seal is expensive and not needed bro. Buy some rigid, bendable plastic, cut a large circle (16" or 18" diameter), then a slot to the middle, to the hole in the center cut to what ever size post you are workin' with, make a cone, fasten it with what you got, duct tape, staples, screws, small nuts and bolts whatever......done, under $3
...then go buy more bird seed and beer with the money you saved....
I have considered those options as well, I had the flex seal left over from some other project and thought, what the heck, try it out.
I am also
working on a new channel and websites, feel free to share them with anyone you
think might be interested.

J'ai utilisé un traineau rond l'hiver passé, et ça marché à 100%, croyez-moi. Très heureux du résultat.
lol I have no idea what your saying.
I am as baffled as you are.
He is saying he used a round sleigh (literal translation) over the past winter, and was very happy with the result. Took french in high school.
Whatever - how about showing the squirrels in action - No proof that it works.
Time, I just have the time to hang around waiting for them to show up.
I don’t get it; why are you spraying these with black paint every year in the first place? Looks like they were originally green. Don’t like the color? Seriously, I’ve never heard of anybody painting them every year. The ones that we have are just black plastic.
I spent too much on the so called squirrel baffles, none worked. The only think I could find were these bright colored sleds, so I paint them to blend in better outside. Over time the paint chips off due to weather.
Finding Mark In Maine, oh! OK, I was wondering why there was a Divet in the side, and I thought to myself that it looked like a snow sled!
@@davidbrucemusicvideo When I purchased other squirrel baffles I watched the squirrels find a way around them time and time again, very destructive animals.
@@mobilehomelife4028 They’re not destructive, they;re extremely intelligent a,d tenacious....so would you be if you had to forage for your food.
@@CobraDove1111 True, but in the process they have destroyed lots of stuff, thanks for taking the time to watch.
Forget those ugly baffles , just buy spicy 🌶 bird seeds . Squirrels will NOT eat it, but it’s ok for birds , research or look up spicy bird seeds , it’s more costly than regular bird seeds , but you won’t be feeding the squirrels either
lol, I agree, it is an ugly baffle but it was the only one that worked for me.
@@mobilehomelife4028 I understand that.
