This is great info in a great video. I inherited a split cone without the mounting bracket. Will have to make one and love the idea of a hose clamp. Hopefully a small clamp alone will provide the rocking action you demonstrated. Thanks!

No problem 👍 I think mine came with really sketchy instructions. That seems to be the case with everything you buy now.

I'm sorry, I thought that I had answered this. The stamped cones are available at Amazon and other on line sources. Use this search phrase "squirrel proof bird feeder baffle"

Good tips. I ended up using 5-min epoxy to glue the bracket to my Shepard's pole. Do you have any experience with the "torpedo" style baffles? I'm not sure why you'd use one over the other. But those seem quite popular as well.

I have to apologize. I responded over a week ago, but I must not have clicked the send button. To answer your question, I don't see a problem with the torpedo baffles, as long as the bottom rim is 60" from the ground. That's how high a squirrel can jump and they are very good at figuring things out. A running start and a jump is all it takes for baffles positioned to close to the ground. I'm not sure how effective they are if you position them over the top of your feeder though, like when the feeder hangs from a tree or overhead support. Good thinking on the epoxy!

Need a baffle to accommodate a 1 1/2” pole that would snap together similar to the one in your video. But that one fit av 1 3/8” pole! Any help would be much appreciated.

This baffle says that it is for up to 1 1/2".

However, it can't be tight on the pole or rodents will climb right over it. You can do some research on it, read the reviews, etc. Most split baffles I've seen are for up to 1 3/8".
