  • This is my install video of the Innovv K3 Dash Cam on my 2016 Harley Tri Glide. I tried to hide it as much as I could. The system works great and the video quality is really good. This is a good article that talks about what it can do.

    You’re amazing for your expertise and know how. Beats mounting to your helmet!

    I installed the Viofo cameras on my HD Tri Glide. I mounted the cameras in the same locations as yours. The video quality is very good. I hope to get many years of use of them. Thanks for sharing your talent. It's nice to see someone who is actually working on a trike or doing some installs on a trike.

    Nice video. I've been looking for Harley install videos. Looks pretty simple to install.

    Hi Bob, thank you for your installation video. Just mounted same camera same front location as yours on my 14 Limited.
    After first ride i noticed camera caused a dent on top of front fender. did you have same result?

      Once you have installed it, you use the app to connect to the unit. That will allow you to adjust the cameras. Starts at 21:30 and explained at 28:25

    What is that Monitor Screen for on the Right Side of your handlebar? And do you have a install video for it?

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  Před rokem

      It's my DynoJet Power Vision Tuner. No need for an install video, you plug it in the bike to the connector behind the left hand cover. You have to remove the tank to run the wire.

    The front camera mount location is a bad idea. I mounted it there and the camera hit the fender and scratched it all up when riding the shock travel is limited.

      I've got 3 1/2" between the fender and the camera. What is our dimension?

    Have you had a chance to ride and check the fender clearance? Planning on the same spot on my Roadglide Ultra

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  Před 2 lety +1

      Josh, I've not had an issue. I have 3 1/2" clearance from the bottom of the Camera to the fender. The travel on the front shock according to Harley is 4 1/2". To me, 3 1/2" is a lot of travel. I think it would take a really nasty compression of the fork springs to hit the camera. I was hoping that George would have responded to my reply as to what his distance to the fender is. If I measure the 4 1/2" travel my fender would hit the bottom of the fork where I mounted the camera. That said, I don't think Harley would put in a spring in the front end that is designed to hit the bottom of fork bracket.

      @@Batman825 thanks Bob for the quick response. I have 3 7/8 on the lift but 3 3/8 on the ground. I do have Fox cartridges in my forks though. Guess I need to have the wife watch and bounce it as hard as I can.

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  Před 2 lety +1

      @@joshstucker4250 I did some playing and I jacked up the bike taking the load off the front end. The distance between my camera and the fender was 4.625". Harley says the travel on the front end is 4.6". So in theory, I have a greater gap between the fender and the camera. I don't think it is an issue as George wrote about. Maybe he mounted it lower.

      @@Batman825 I went for a 10 mile cruise this evening and had no issues. Mine is maybe a half inch higher than yours the way I mounted it. Now to figure out how to share videos

    I installed the Innovv K5 on my 2021 Ultra Limited. When the front shock compressed, it dented the fender and cost me $700. I don't recommend installing there

    • @Batman825
      @Batman825  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for the feedback. I did do some testing when someone else brought that up. I have not had any issues so far. The K5 seems to be a larger unit than the K3. I'm curious, what is the measurement of the K5 with the mounting bracket? The K3 is 1 7/8".

    • @bradygriffin6924
      @bradygriffin6924 Před 2 lety

      @@Batman825 Thanks Bob. I'm out of town until Friday, will check it then. I "believe" the rear camera would be about the same size as K3? I think the front camera drops about the same. It came with a fork-style bracket that mounted to the chrome cover, then a small block that would rotate side to side. This added maybe 1 1/2 or 2" to the drop. Took those off and mounted the one 90 degree bracket to a screw in the bottom. I then hand bent it to the right angle. It's not going anywhere and is aimed great. Problem is that with the fender dent, I can't be sure it's not going to hit if replaced. Thinking if I had some type of putty to fill in the dent, I could check for an impression under severe braking.
