    KD feasted because Steph was getting double-teamed. All Steph has to do is walk past half court and the defense loses their composure

    • @davidl5119
      @davidl5119 Před 6 lety +4

      Shemzinho KD feasted as well in the finals w okc. His teammates just didn’t show up. For all the “KD only did well because warriors” also apply to lebron when he went to Miami joining two franchise players while weakening two EAST teams. KD is KD no matter what he is the best player in the nba since he plays offense and defense at the highest of levels while taking less shots. Lebron is still a great player but he no longer is a good two way player.

    • @eb2604
      @eb2604 Před 6 lety +2

    • @davidl5119
      @davidl5119 Před 6 lety +1

      Diego Ramirez mm I’d argue it’s Steph and KD the two most heavily guarded. With that said, I don’t argue that it isn’t easier than when he was w the thunder, Westbrook just doesn’t have the same gravity as he is a different type of threat (lesser of a threat too) but that could be said of lebron and others. That was my point.

      @ggs4869 Před 6 lety +7

      It always depends on the perspective when u talking about who is better. If you put them against each other in 1v1 KD would win ofc , he is a forward. But in the game 5v5 steph is more impactful and he is also the leader of the team, plus put he warriors on the map before klay thompson or draymond emerged as allstars.
      About Steph :
      I put Steph in the conversation of goat because he changed the game himself. People always talk about how the new way of basketball suits steph so much and thats why he became 2time MVP. Nope, he literally change the enviromnent so that it fits him better and made many stars irrelevant.

      Yea but until Steph is ruled out for the season it's a non-issue. If Steph came back into the game then nobody would even talking about this right now. Only reason it's an issue is because media and fans are making such a huge issue out of the fact that the Warriors kept him out of the game because of PRECAUTIONARY measures. lol. Everyone is losing their minds.

    I don't understand how they can say Steph is more important and is the playmaker/engine of the team yet say Durant is better. If you're using that thinking Durant would be better than Lebron bc in most areas of the game such as shooting, defense, and driving KD is better than or on par with Lbj but we still give the edge to Lbj because he a playmaker and the engine of his team. Steph in his prime mindset (required for shooters) looked godly, I don't think ppl appreciated him in the 2015 finals bc he was the Cavs main concern and allowed his teammates to shine in order to WIN the championship while still averaging over 25pts

    • @cosiestprism708

      Carmelo Anthony I understand where you are coming from but Lebron has an impact unmatched by any other player. You put him on any team and they make the playoffs. Might not get past the 1st round but they make it. Curry and Durant aren't at that level. Great players but not Lebron.

    • @carmeloanthony8776
      @carmeloanthony8776 Před 6 lety

      I think that is unfair to say if you look at circumstances. Not questioning Lbjs greatness but Curry after he's reached his prime has not had that opportunity for you to say he wouldn't be able to carry a team to a playoff spot. Even Durant the yr with WB injured made it to the second round in the West. I think Lbj is that good to take any team in the east to an ECF at least but I definitely think Steph and KD are close to do the same if they were in his position. Lbj has achieved everyone's respect with his 3 rings that's why we give him the benefit of the doubt but he didn't do it alone Wade and Kyrie have given their all in the finals along with LBj to win chips. I think in time ppl will start to give Steph the benefit of the doubt if he adds accolades to his resume.

      Cosiest Prism actually your wrong. LeBron would need hand picked players as would everyone else. He can't just take any team to the playoffs, that ridiculous. The difference is steph curry impact is unrivalled and he bows down to no one. LeBron James is great, but his impact compared to steph's impact. It's not even close, Steph curry's impact is far more superior than lebron's.

      i think it's the opposite, lebron makes role players better but make all star worse because he makes them into a spot up shooter. Look at what Curry's done to all their teammates, even Durant has been playing the most efficient basketball of his career with Curry. Curry is definitely the most impactful player in the league with the way he extends the defense so much. Look at the Warriors offense with Steph out, more ISO game. GSW system exist because of Steph Curry.

    I wish Durant didn't join the warriors. Only so curry could still lead that team and develop even more. The pressure of being the lead guy would've made him step it up on defense and other areas he could improve on. He would've pretty much turned into a MY player on 2k with the 99 overall. But having to share the ball with kd means less touches , less development cause playing is a bit easier. And worst of all. A bit of a stain on his legacy because now guys will look back and say they only won cause they were a super team. Omitting the fact they were elite before kd and that they all were drafted that way

    So who ever wins the finals mvp is the reason you win a championship what a flawed logic. The reason Igoudala won the mvp is because he hit open shots because cleveland were doubling Steph and he limited Lebron to 30 points , 11 rebounds , 8 assists. If anything Lebron should have been the 2nd finals Mvp who lost the finals.

      Pinky Ring nah. you are wrong. kd made the smartest. most gangsta move in nba history. LeBron teamed up with dwayne wade chris bosh then kyrie and love. and he has been to 7 straight finals. kd took it to the next level. he joined the best team in the league. dont hate the playa hate the game bruh.

    • @kkyle9726
      @kkyle9726 Před 6 lety +5

      KIDKorRupt24 yes Lebron did but the terms were MUCH different. Lebron went to a Miami team that previously missed the playoffs which was another reason D Wade recruited him. Lebron then went back to a team that has not went to the playoffs in 6 years or so since the day he left and won a championship for them as well, against a juggernaut of a team in who won 73 games in Golden State. (KD) blew a 3-1 lead to a 73 record breaking GS prior to joining them. LBJ never did that. So to say KD did the same thing is NOT exactly true. KD needed a team like that in order to beat LBJ. Think about it. He couldn't beat LBJ with a team he had that had not 1 but soon to be 3 MVP winners who will be hall of famers and they had a DEEP bench while in OKC. KD would have to go back and win one in OKC in order to be mentioned in the same breath as LBJ.

    • @KIDKorRupt24
      @KIDKorRupt24 Před 6 lety +2

      Kel Kyle you brought in a lot of context. but I don't find it relevant. the Miami team LeBron created with bosh and wade is its own thing. its a completely different team than the year before. because you added 2 all stars to the team. if you did that with any team that missed the playoffs. I guarentee they are significantly more likely to make the playoffs and win a championship. especially if one of those players is the best player in the league. and the other one is a top 10 player. on a side note. ive always been perplexed at how they only managed to win 2 titles. when they were the overwhelming favorite in every finals they were in.
      yes kd lost to LeBron with two future hall of famers. but no one would argue that russ and harden were even close to what they are now. they werent playing at a mvp level until many more years later. to me. what we are discussing is a player leaving his team to create what many would call an unbeatable team. whether or not the team was great before hand is of little consequence. the end result is still the same. we can penalize kd because the team he went to win a championship already. but I feel we a arguung semantics. he took lebrons blueprint and took it to its logical extent. if LeBron can create a dynasty overnight with his friends and run the nba. why cant kd go to the best team and make them even more great. they both are stacking the deck in their favor.

    • @Qichar
      @Qichar Před 6 lety +28

      Klay would definitely score more, but I think his shooting percentage would drop. Klay hasn't shown great playmaking or ability to score off the dribble. Sometimes he goes inside or shoots a mid range. Don't get me wrong, Klay is awesome on both ends of the floor. But how much of his success is due to the fact that teams can't double team him because Steph is out there too? I think without Steph the whole floor shrinks for the Warriors and they have a harder time scoring. This isn't theoretical; Chris B actually gave the stats for this season. I think they are like 120 pts with him and 106 without (per 100 possessions). A 14 point drop is a pretty big deal.
      But more to the point, does Golden State have a good point guard behind Steph? And don't say Livingston, I'll agree he's good off the bench but he is nowhere near the offensive threat that Steph is.

Plus look at all the great defensive players the Warriors have to help him out. Draymond KD, and Klay. Do u ever realize why people want to try to a switch so curry can be guarding them.

      Ghost Plays his effort and off ball defense are both above average. His on-ball defense may be below average due to his size, but on-ball defense isn't everything. Teams switch Steph onto them because they would rather have him guard than Draymond, KD, or Klay since they are all elite defenders.

      WarriorsFan739 so curry can't guard someone one on one. Curry does have effort but most players do and that doesn't make him good on defence. I will give it to you his of ball defence isn't bad but everything is

      ClutchWestbrook but if U know basketball then u know without curry there spacing becomes just great. While with curry it's the best ever. Plus now defensively teams don't have to worry about going against the best shooter of all time

      Did you see how Klay got exposed last night without Curry to take defender away? He couldn’t score at all. Without Durant they could have lost by double digit. Klay is not playing same level of intensity as previous seasons.

    Incorrect. Draymond Green is the most important.

      Huey Freeman Draymond is the leader. Everytime he doesn’t play, Golden State plays without energy. He’s their best defender and causes mismatches at the 5 due to his skill. Zaza and Javel can basically be ignored by the other team when they are in the game.

      @floydsteel1703 Před 6 lety +2

      No he isn't, he brings great energy and defense which shouldn't be ignored but so does marcus smart that doesn't mean he's the most important player on the celtics

      geejr you know Golden States offensive rating without Steph is like 20 points less when he SITS DOWN DURING GAMES? Imagine their offense in a series without him there at all. Draymond doesn't have that affect sorry. They won't come close to beating even Houston without Steph
